We were standing near Bandhan Bank, waiting to gather stories from delivery riders, when we coincidentally met Bandhan Debanat, a 30-year-old delivery rider from Tripura. Bandhan studied in Tripura until the 12th grade and played cricket at the state level. However, after his father suffered a stroke and passed away, Bandhan had to abandon his studies and cricket aspirations to support his family financially. In 2013, he moved to Bangalore. Bandhan began his career as a security guard at a famous mall in Bangalore, where he worked for two years. He left due to the verbally abusive environment, despite his dedication and long hours. Searching for a new direction, Bandhan joined Accenture as a driver. This job came with its own set of challenges, particularly the high risk and stress associated with driving the company car and navigating Bangalore's heavy traffic. Fearing any mistakes that could jeopardize his position, he eventually decided to leave this role as well. Determined to be his own boss, Bandhan joined Swiggy as a delivery rider. He bought a bike, underwent three days of training provided by the company, and started his new career. Over a year has passed, and he is now steadily working and saving for his future business plans. When asked about his future goals, Bandhan shared that he aims to return to Tripura within a year to open a kids' clothing shop. He plans to source materials from West Bengal, Delhi, and Mumbai, and manage the shop with his wife. Although Bandhan wishes to play cricket again, his current schedule restricts him from pursuing this passion. Yet, his story is one of hope and the strength it takes to navigate life's unpredictable paths. #risersofindia #staffingsolutions #hiring

In the fast-paced world of job changes, there's a valuable lesson to be learned from the IPL teams, specifically the Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians. These teams have demonstrated the power of loyalty and integrity, creating a winning formula that extends beyond the cricket field. Players like MS Dhoni, Virat Kohli, and Rohit Sharma could command any price in IPL auctions, yet they chose to stay loyal to their respective teams. This loyalty isn't just about the players; it's a two-way street. The teams, in turn, show unwavering faith in their players even during challenging times. In a world where job-hopping has become a norm, the CSK and MI approach serves as a refreshing reminder of the benefits of commitment. From being table dwellers, these teams have risen to the top, showcasing how stability and trust can lead to the success of the team and the players. Oh, and if someone stumbles upon loyalty and integrity being sold on Zomato or Instamart, do let me know. I've got the Pro versions of these apps. . . . #jobchanges #jobhopping #appraisaltimes

Human potential is so resilient that one does not realise but life forces you to don many hats and you deliver with flying colours I vouch for your thoughts Amit having faced similar challenges- Civil Engineering, MBA, Project Sales, CRM consulting, HR Entrepreneur…
Global Head | Retail & Distribution Leader | Board Advisory I Change and Transformation Management | Angel Investor | Bridging Conceptual Strategy with On-Ground Excellence
Life's journey is a series of choices, each presenting a new path and challenge. Reflecting on my own journey, I'm reminded of the lessons from the book "How Will You Measure Your Life?" where the author discusses emergent and deliberate strategies. This concept resonates deeply with the decisions that have shaped my career. Back in '91, I stood at a crossroads in Delhi, choosing between the familiarity of staying put or the growth potential of moving to Jaipur. I chose Jaipur, embracing the learning and adaptation that came with living solo in a new city. Similarly, when Gujarat called, offering an opportunity to aid a struggling business in Ahmedabad, I stepped out of my comfort zone once again. Much like the emergent and deliberate strategies, these choices have been a constant in my life. Whether it was navigating the challenges in Bihar, Patna, and Kolkata or venturing into the telecom sector, each decision was a blend of careful planning and seizing unforeseen opportunities. Even when pursuing my MBA in Dubai and Singapore and later choosing to join Aditya Birla in Mumbai over returning to Airtel, I was guided by a mix of deliberate strategy and responding to emergent situations. Every step, including my role in merchandising for six years and my decade-long tenure in Delhi, has been an intricate balance of these two strategies. My journey underscores that career choices are not just about deliberate planning or reacting to emergent circumstances but a combination of both. Your journey, too, is shaped by these choices and strategies. It's about embracing the unknown, growing through adversity, and aligning your deliberate plans with life's emergent opportunities. Each choice, easy or tough, crafts your narrative and opens doors to new possibilities. So, as you navigate your career and life, remember the power of both deliberate and emergent strategies. Allow them to guide your decisions and shape your journey. It's about taking that step, making those choices, and giving yourself the power to craft your story. It’s all within your grasp. #leadership #lifechoices #amitkgupta #bata #sales #distribution

📣 Dear Friends, 🌇 As I sit here in the beautiful city of Ranchi, I can't help but reflect on the trend of migration from smaller cities to larger ones. Many individuals are drawn to the glamour and opportunities that big cities like Delhi, Mumbai, or Bangalore offer. However, let me tell you that even staying in a place like Ranchi, we can compete and thrive in today's fast-paced world, thanks to effective communication and utilizing our time wisely. ⌛️ While people in metros may seem to have an advantage because of their location, it's essential to recognize that time is a precious resource, and we can make the most of it. Time wasted in traffic or long commutes can be strategically used to enhance our skills, build connections online, or invest in personal growth. The power of technology allows us to sell our time, ideas, and services globally, regardless of our physical location. 💪 Especially to all the young professionals out there, I encourage you to embrace the opportunities that come your way. Don't let your geographical location hold you back. Instead, let your determination, skills, and better utilization of time be the factors that define your success. 🔑 Let's use the advantages we have, such as a lower cost of living, a tight-knit community, and a supportive network, to our benefit. 💼🌱 Popular hashtags for this content could be: - #MakingItHappen - #RisingStarsOfRanchi - #OpportunitiesInSmallCities Remember, success knows no boundaries when we make the most of our resources and focus on personal growth. 🌟 #SmallCityBigDreams #UnlockingPotential #EmbracingOpportunities

The journey wasn’t smooth. From tough banking jobs to going through a divorce and a remarriage, resilience was my constant companion. “I’m Naveen Tiwari, one of the founders, along with Swati Saboo and Lakshmi Santhanam. Our story begins in humble towns like Baliya, UP, and Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh. Born in 1984, life threw me curveballs early on. After my father's untimely death, I supported my family by running a kirana store and PCO. Despite financial struggles and living with 14 family members, I worked hard to complete my education, eventually moving to Pune with dreams bigger than my wallet. Balancing a job with studies, I cracked the CAT and joined ISBM Pune for an MBA, which led me to Kotak. My wife, a CA from Ranchi, and I founded Scrabble in 2021, initially funded by her family. She has been my constant support since then. Our first year saw a 4.25 crore turnover, doubling the next year, and hitting 15 crore by year three. With 56 employees and over 1,000 clients, we operate on a B2B model, earning through a commission on placements. “Our Deep client understanding and customised recruitment solutions is our strength”, told Karostartup. From modest beginnings to a thriving firm, Scrabble is a testament to resilience, innovation, and relentless pursuit of dreams.
