I made a decision after speaking and address a decent pool of crowd yesterday at #QNSCC. “Alternative Funders for Renewable Energy Projects” Waste to Energy Trade Association (WETA) together with Informa Markets Thailand arrange the seminar in the topic of “Alternative Funders for Renewable Energy Projects” under the Asean Sustainable Energy Week 2023, ASEAN's Most Comprehensive Energy and Environment Exhibition. The given time to share about what the world is doing about GREEN & Net-Zero and why crowdfunding and crowdinvesting opens to new energy and assuring the old energy to transform when we consciously choose to work on this vital conversations. Challenges raised were overwhelming in areas of policies, standards, most of all was funding. And speaking about funding, on the panel, there were Green Consultants (feasibility studies), Global Funders, EPCs - #BIOMass, Crowdinvesting Sinwattana Crowdfunding. The deep exchange resulted to a lined up demand for actions. Valid concerns were raised on EU Taxonomy, the importance of climate-related disclosures, and international #green and #impact investors seeking greater transparency on companies' environmental, social, and governance (ESG) practices. I am having a like-minded group for this discussion to go full swing to support all Green projects. BBVA has joined the Cleantech for Iberia initiative to accelerate the development of clean technologies in Spain and Portugal. The main goal is to create a global hub that establishes the Iberian Peninsula as a leader in the 'cleantech' sector. The initiative brings together funds totaling more than one billion euros. The coalition promoted by the Cleantech Group Cleantech Group and Breakthrough Energy was presented today, during the Web Summit in Lisbon. BBVA is the only bank on the peninsula that is participating in 'Cleantech for Iberia'. Climate funds (Net Zero Ventures, Klima, A&G, Axon and Adara, among others) and companies in the region that have invested in clean technologies (Malta, H2 Green Steel, Plastic Energy, among others) are participating in this initiative. Cleantech for Iberia brings together 18 innovative investors and leading universities in Spain and Portugal, all of them key players in building the region’s green technology ecosystem. https://lnkd.in/g7H7P7Bu

Singapore-based investment firm, Circulate Capital, has secured $7 million in committed capital from British International Investment (BII). This finalises the close for its $76 million climate tech fund, boosting the total assets under management to $255 million. The new fund, Circulate Capital Ocean Fund I-B, aims to combat plastic pollution and address climate change in various industries across Asia.
