When a hurricane hits, we *immediately talk about safety measures for future occurrences. When a terrorist attack takes place, we *immediately talk about how to prevent such. When a shooting takes place, we can/should deeply grieve the loss of life, while also being able to *immediately talk about safety measures to prevent such. Grieving & discussing are not mutually exclusive. They can co-exist in healthy ways.

The 2024 Hurricane Season begins with a new strategy for disaster responses. AFIMSC Task Force Agile Mission Support (TFAMS) held its first meeting at Tyndall AFB to discuss rapid recovery from natural and man-made disasters. Lessons from past events like Hurricane Michael and floods at Offutt AFB were shared. The goal is to have a coordinated plan for response operations at Air Force installations. During tabletop discussions 27 representatives from AFIMSC, PSUs and AF Component to Combatant Commands worked together to plan response operations involving a tornado scenario at Wright-Patterson AFB and a man-made disaster that commenced a wave of refugees in Europe. #BattleReadyBuiltRight #DAFStrong #IAMIMSC #CEAirmen.
