A political post! I just saw some data, it surprised me, but people will say it is political: Illegal Immigration, data from the end of 2022, cost to US taxpayers $182 Billion dollars, net out any work and taxes paid it is $152 Billion (net). ANNUALLY Each illegal cost the tax payer $1,156 (not inflation adjusted) each.. So with a total of 5,000,000 new immigrants in the country since this data was produced, just add another $6B.. So today it is $188B, and added 988k new immigrants in January alone, this issue will bankrupt our nation! Lets not talk aid to the rest of the world, but unless we figure out how to balance our checkbook I'm not sure where this ends up? If you don't follow Kyle Reyes you should for real daily insights at the border and this data was validated at www.fairus.org #saveus #saveamerica #legalimmigration #votethemout #read #research

This idiot was in charge of immigration and brought all these people over knowing our infrastures were already failing and unable to support them. Now he is in charge of housing and says maybe we need less immigration. Duh? Then he figures war time homes are the solution. You know when Canadian Citizens who faught for our country would have a home to return to. Canadian tax paying citizens who defended our country. Completely different then todays issue stupid. Secondly the other big elephant in the room is the inflationary costs caused by your government to actually pay for utilities, taxes insurance and the maintenance of the home. https://lnkd.in/gWuzPQMS

What is the relationship between #immigration and #inequality? In the UK over the past 40 years, the effect of immigration on the distribution of native wages has been very small. The impact of immigration on the fiscal budget, and the potentially unequal impact of the ensuing tax implications on natives, have not created disadvantage either, as immigrants are large net fiscal contributors. Earlier today, the House Budget Committee held a hearing examining the economic impacts of increased immigrations. The ramifications of heightened immigration and escalated borrowing costs reverberate within the realm of finance, impacting the cost of municipal bonds and fixed income securities. “As the nation grapples with mass immigration, its financial implications extend beyond political discourse and into the economic fabric of cities, states, and towns across the country. Municipalities have become overwhelmed by the increase in their population and are finding their budgets and the ability to provide basic services stretched to their outer limits. If something doesn’t change, then, one way or another, this will cause an increase in costs for municipalities and the people who call those communities home. We ask lawmakers to focus on how this aspect of immigration is impacting the American economy- on the local, state, and national level," said American Securities Association's Christopher A. I.. The 2024 Australian Federal Budget did not have any major announcements on the overhaul of Australian visas or the further reform of individual tax residency rules. The Government has continued with its ongoing measures to the migration reform, which were balanced with a broader strategy to address current workforce challenges and targeted immigration policies. We cover this is in more detail in our 2024 Budget Report https://lnkd.in/gMPyCnN3 #globalmobility #migration #budget2024 #australianfederalbudget #andersen #andersenglobal #anderseninaustralia #ATO #tax #individualtax #permanentmigration Natasha Jurista

The surge in immigration is a $7 trillion gift to the economy As the economy has improved and consumers have begun recognizing that improvement, Republicans have pivoted to attacking President Biden on a different policy weakness: immigration. After all, virtually everyone — Democrats included — seems to agree the issue is a serious problem. But what if that premise is wrong? Voters and political strategists have treated our country’s ability to draw immigrants from around the world as a curse; it could be a blessing, if only we could get out of our own way. Consider a few numbers: Last week, the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office released updated 10-year economic and budget forecasts. The numbers look significantly better than they did a year earlier, and immigration is a key reason.

For any US persons looking at expatriating, it may well just get a little more cost effective to do so. Unfortunately, this is too little too late to help me. I paid the $2,350 when I expatriated. Fat chance any refunds will be offered! But this will be a big help to many people considering expatriation but who are unable to afford it. I know that many people who want to expatriate don't because they can't afford the fee. Once the fee drops, I imagine we will see a jump in expatriations. If you are considering expatriating, please get pre-expatriation tax advice so you understand the tax consequences and don't accidentally get classified as a covered expatriate when you could have been a non-covered expatriate. Covered expatriates are subject to an exit and tax and any gifts or inheritances received by US persons by a covered expatriate are subject to US gift or estate at the highest rate then in effect (currently 40%). This can be devastating to US recipients of gifts or inheritances. Also make sure that you hire a competent tax professional to prepare your final tax return and Form 8854. For more information about expatriating, check out my video "The Ultimate Guide to Expatriating from the U.S." here: https://buff.ly/3F2IGEv You can also use my Expatriation Exit Tax Calculator to determine if you are a covered expatriate or not and estimate your exit tax. Illegal immigration is making your wallet smaller. In the ongoing immigration debate, there's talk of using monetary policy to address the financial strains caused by illegal immigrants coming into this country. By expanding the M2 money supply, the government aims to cover added costs without immediate tax hikes or borrowing. (more on this in a moment) However, this approach poses risks such as inflation and currency devaluation. Alternative solutions like better immigration policies and targeted assistance may offer more sustainable answers. Ultimately, a more encompassing strategy addressing the root causes and economic reforms is needed for the long-term success of this nation. We cannot continue on like this - and this is not political as much as it is a simple statement of economic fact. I'm going to be posting a short educational piece on how the Fed controls our money here in just a moment...
