Professor of Design at The Ohio State University

I'll retire from the Department of Design - The Ohio State University on Sept 1 after turning 65. My colleagues surprised me with an end-of-academic-year party, hosted by our alums at local firm ZoCo Design. I can't thank everyone enough for organizing the event and showing up. It was great to celebrate with so many former students and long-time friends.

Congratulations Paul - so much cheers and more cheers for all your hard work and kindness for all those years of teaching. You helped instill a love of (and a grasp of the depth of) design, for me. It's been invaluable for my career. I will be forever grateful for your classes and for finding my way to OSU Dept. of Design. Thank you

Wow! I am an alumnus of your first year of teaching. I think Advanced Type was the first class I had with you. What's next? Touring the world in an indie rock band?

Does this mean Log will get on the road?

Congratulations, Paul. Your efforts to help students fall in love with type have been inspiring and much needed. I hope you will enjoy your retirement and that you have time to do all the other cool things you ever wanted to do.
