We celebrated 5 years of 4impact capital earlier this week 🌟. Time flies when you are having fun! It was late 2017 when Ali Najafbagy and I, inspired by our friends Alex Pitt and Henry Wigan at Mustard Seed , joined forces to use our network, experience and complimentary skills to contribute to a better world. Early adopters of the #moralambition you could say, with Ali and having met at Goldman Sachs. It's the best decision I made. We took 2018 to define strategy (impact 🌍 + digital tech 👩💻 = strong returns 🚀 ) and launched our Fund I in 2019. That's 5 years ago. We then 🍀 joined the impact journey of Envision , Solar Monkey, Carbon Equity, Satelligence, Equalture, Circularise, Quan - employee well-being, SkillsCV, The Fabricant, Green Story, Carbonfuture, InfoTiles Digital Water, TVARIT, Myrspoven AB, Deftpower, Coolgradient who continuously work on building a better future. 🙌 grew our team with inspiring, passionate and smart people and with serial founder, operator and high energy Victor Straatman joining us as full time partner earlier this year 🤠 🚀 launched Fund II last year, which is a multitude in size vs the previous fund already, allowing us to invest in more visionary founders in BNL, DACH, Nordics. Still fundraising until 3Q to further increase the € going to where it is needed - digital tech innovation for a better planet! I wouldn't be here without Ali's passion, grit and ambition, our early believers, investors, advisors, friends, family and supportive husband (Arjen Wink) 🙏 🙏 ! But this is only the beginning! $6Tr is needed annually to meet the UN SDGs and 70% can be accelerated by the use of software. As VCs we fund innovation and change.
