Business leaders, shareholders, and board members have increasingly been saying the same thing — albeit using different words — when it comes to their company’s digital and AI transformations. While 89% of large companies globally have a digital and AI transformation underway, they have only captured 31% of the expected revenue lift and 25% of expected cost savings from the effort. That track record begs some tough questions: Is all this digital effort worth it? Do I really need to lead my industry or is being a fast-follower a smarter strategy? Until business leaders are convinced of the value and confident in how to get it, they are unlikely to do the difficult, hands-in-the-dirt changes needed to improve their success rate. #eadership #digital #digitaltransformation #transformation #AI #artificialintelligence Read more: https://ow.ly/QxfW50Pxe3u

PWC published it's annual survey, and it's a fun read. Most businesses anticipate they will not survive the current economy and the AI boom, without major changes. Among the key changes they anticipate cutting jobs that can be replaced by gen AI and hiring more people who know how to use it. As CEOs scale their #GenerativeAI initiatives, how can they win the hearts and minds of all stakeholders? A new Deloitte report examines the three roles the #CEO must play to successfully scale #GenAI initiatives. One recommendation is setting up centers of excellence (CoEs) that bring a cross-functional group of #AI experts and stakeholders together to focus on organizational efforts, governance, and adoption. Consider adding the #CXO to this group to bring the voice of the customer and the employee to the table, along with the skills needed to take a human-centered design approach to AI adoption. As an example, many employees are fearful of AI transformation and express concern about what their jobs will look like and how their skills will need to evolve.
