If I had to describe the goal of engineering in one word, I would choose the word "efficiency." In my mind, engineering is not about what is possible, but rather what is practical: how do we get the most out of limited resources?
And time is a resource that we can't create more of - we can only try to find ways of using it more efficiently. So the main reason I started the Test and Measurement Fundamentals video series ~4 years ago was to help both new and experienced engineers come up to speed as quickly as possible on a wide variety of T&M-related topics.
Over the years we've been asked many times to organize these videos into courses and provide a way for people to test / demonstrate their knowledge, so this week we launched the first 9 on-demand courses based on these videos. In addition to teaching the fundamentals of spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, oscilloscopes, digital modulation, etc., each course also allows you to take a quiz and earn a downloadable completion badge.
The courses are, of course, free of charge and open to everyone, so if you're interested, please sign up using the link below!
