*********NOT OPEN TO WORK *********** is a status Linkedin should include in their profile. We have 'Hiring' and 'Open to Work', why can't we have 'Not Open to Work'. I have had about 8 approaches over the last 10 days - whilst I appreciate people have a job to do, I am very much NOT open to new opportunities. If you worked at RBW consulting, you would also want the same - we are currently hiring for Consultants - why not contact Marc Bradley or Michelle Jones for an informal chat. Come home!!!!!!!!!!!! or to a place that at least gives you the comfort of feeling like you are. We spend more time at work than we do at home, at least work somewhere that makes you feel comfortable and supported and gives you the tools you need to grow in your career. #wearerbw

It's a great idea, Paul. But unlikely to happen given the site's revenue model and also their desire for us all to talk to each other. You might feel differently if more recruiters were more thoughtful, and relevant, in their approaches though. Perhaps LI could expand your idea and have Not Open to buying lead generation services, financial advice, web design etc button options for everyone? 😀 But I suspect they still wouldn't stop some people from trying would they?
