Excellent summary from Digiday highlighting Amazon Ads' latest developments with media companies announced earlier this week... In particular: “The newly unveiled features for Amazon Publisher Cloud include a number of opportunities for advertisers to directly access ad space with a host of household-name publishers, including a tie-up with Omnicom Media Group," and "integrations with third-party ID-providers beginning with LiveRamp..." Inspiring to innovate with publishers and partners in navigating a pivotal industry sea change... 🌊 🌊 🌊 Amazon Ads + Amazon Web Services (AWS) #DayOne ++ Chirabrata Michael Roman Angela Kelsey Lisa Sam Ben

Introducing Amazon Publisher Cloud ⛅️-- the first and only solution that enables media owners to analyze first-party data with Amazon signals in a clean room environment (built on Amazon Web Services (AWS), no less) and monetize programmatically. 🙌 Early beta test results have been eye-opening 👀 : “The performance of this initial work shows what’s possible when we have rich insights into our viewers and package media accordingly. Our collaboration enabled us to deliver significantly more effective advertising (3.5x reach), specifically by reaching in-market viewers at scale, all in a privacy-minded way.” Ryan McConville, EVP, NBCUniversal “By analyzing our 1P signals through [APC], we’re able to map intent-to-buy signals to 1.5M+ articles, making the content you read a stronger, more durable predictor of what you're likely to buy than any cookie signal. We’re excited to deepen the collaboration and build a robust future that unlocks previously un-addressable audiences, drives ad performance, and enhances the consumer experience.” Jonathan Roberts, CIO, Dotdash Meredith. Thrilled and humbled to help drive a potential media-tech sea change alongside this team, our partners and publishers... 🌊 🌊 🌊 https://lnkd.in/eUBDpNdv ++ Sharmilan Rayer Scott Siegler Rohit Anthony Roman Arpit Mike Karen Kristen Catherine Dhiren Hisashi WilsonJustin Matthew Raghavendra Nick James Jamie Theresa Chirabrata Michael Danna Matt Shaila Eric Adam

Nice article highlighting Amazon’s efforts to provide advertisers with more advertising supply options. A lot of what my teams work on are mentioned: including our focus on “deals”, our new Amazon Publisher Cloud, and our positive relationships with 3P publishers (Amazon Publisher Services/APS) and supply side platforms (SSPs). And nice coverage for Amazon’s DSP progress! #amazonads #amazonpublishercloud #aps #adsp #3psupply

https://lnkd.in/erpYu-m5 Amazon Publisher Cloud is a new collaboration service that enables publishers to plan programmatic deals and activate them in Amazon DSP, informed by the ability to analyze their first-party signals together with insights from Amazon Ads. With the rapidly evolving addressability landscape, publishers and advertisers increasingly require interoperable audience- and context-aware planning and measurement solutions that will be durable over time. Amazon Ads is building clean room capabilities that enable this, leveraging Amazon Web Services (AWS) Clean Rooms to facilitate secure and streamlined collaboration between Amazon Ads and its publisher and advertiser customers. “We built Amazon Publisher Cloud to ensure publishers securely maintain control of their first-party signals with the ability to analyze them alongside Amazon Ads insights, create customized and more effective deals, and easily make them available in Amazon DSP. We’re excited to connect publishers and advertisers and help them deliver more relevant customer experiences.” Steve Rabuchin Supporting our partners to more easily and securely analyze and collaborate on their collective signals —without sharing or copying one another’s underlying datasets is another huge stride in enabling futureproofed mechanisms for advanced advertising strategies.

Great Start - Amazon Ads revenue jumps 24% in first quarter. This is the first report since we started running ads on Prime Video, a move that analysts predict could generate significant revenue over time. It’s become a major revenue and profit driver for us at Amazon and is now a proven key player in the overall digital ad market. Our ad business, which grew faster than retail or cloud computing, has become an increasingly important profit driver for Amazon and has emerged as a main player in online advertising. HELLO AMAZON PUBLISHER CLOUD It was just 6 pages of paper 18 months ago - but today we could not be more proud and excited to shout through the LinkedIn bullhorn the very real open beta launch of Amazon Publisher Cloud. This new signal collaboration service helps publishers navigate the post-cookie world by making it easy to activate hard-earned audience insights to deliver more relevant campaigns for their advertisers. Out of the gate, collaboration includes insights from Amazon Ads and turnkey activation through Amazon DSP - with more connectivity through Ads, third-party partners, and Amazon Publisher Services to come. Built on AWS Clean Rooms, Amazon Publisher Cloud is a critical part of our Amazon Ads future that securely orchestrates value from so many great parts of our company - including Amazon Publisher Services, Amazon DSP, and AWS. I’m grateful to be able to work with these teams and to see what you can get done when you align so many to so singular a customer need - and for the opportunity to tackle this advertising challenge with a solution that actually starts with the publisher. I could (and should) wax poetic about about so, so many colleagues that helped us get here, but must hit our early partners Ryan McConville, Joseph Cady and Stephane Krzywoglowy (NBCU), Sara Badler and Jonathan Roberts (DotDash Meredith), and Amy Leifer, Matthew Jamison and Dan Rosenfeld (DirecTV); our Amazon partners Akram Chetibi, Adam Solomon, Matt Miller, Shaila Mathias, Ryan Malecky, Clark Fredricksen (AWS), Alan Lewis and Miranda Chen (Amazon Marketing Cloud); Kelly M. (Amazon DSP), our Amazon Publisher Services teammates Bryan Quinn, David Grossman and Jordan Kreisner, and of course the Amazon Publisher Cloud team including Anthony Devassy, Arpit Shah, Andrew Chud, Roman Irner, Rohit Bhatia, Andrew Thompson (yes, you), Mike Henriques, Catherine Strong, Hisashi Nomoto, Dhiren Rikhra, Nick Barreto, Ravi Teja Allaparthi, Wilson Li, Justin Laffin, Karen DiCarlo, Kristen Carter, Patrick Hu, Matthew Donigian, Ananth Gondu, (I've exceeded the mention limit here!) Chira Senapati, Raghu Sunku, Charlie Cox, Brady Vitrano, Peter Schwer, Dan Kowta, Jamie McGill, and so many more world-class engineers. Thank you all! (and when y'all relentlessly figure out who I'm missing, let's @ them in the comments) And of course, thank you to the indefatigable man-of-the-hour, Amazon Publisher Cloud GM, Sharmilan Rayer. We are grateful for and humbled by your leadership and vision. (so, uh, when do we ship GA?) #unBoxed #amazonpublisherservices #amazonads https://lnkd.in/g2ecZZd2

I’m excited to share that Amazon Publisher Cloud has launched! Built on AWS Clean Rooms, Amazon Publisher Cloud (beta) unlocks privacy-centric collaboration between publishers and advertisers to enable Amazon DSP deal creation, and improve customer experiences with more relevant advertising. By building on top of AWS Clean Rooms, Amazon Ads empowers publishers to flexibly interoperate with Amazon Publisher Cloud while securely maintaining control of their first-party signals. The compound benefits that we're collectively bringing to bear for our customers are really inspiring! 👉 If you're a publisher using AWS Clean Rooms today and aspire to participate in the APC beta (and beyond), you can use the same AWS Clean Rooms technology as a base with which to interoperate. One AWS service with multiple downstream applications. 👉 If you're a publisher built on AWS and also working with Amazon Publisher Cloud, increase your ad sales revenue and yield by collaborating with Amazon Ads (via AWS Clean Rooms) 👉 If you're a marketer or agency, there are more ways than ever for you to deliver data driven customer experiences with more of your media partners. 👉 AWS Clean Rooms remains neutral and agnostic for general purpose use cases that do not involve Amazon; this is a core tenet of the AWS cloud. Congratulations to our beta customers including NBCUniversal, Dotdash Meredith, DIRECTV, and TelevisaUnivision and to my colleagues across Amazon + AWS Scott Siegler, Sharmilan Rayer, Karen DiCarlo, Kristen Carter, Wilson Li, Roman Irner, Rohit Bhatia, Patrick Hu, Akram Chetibi, Ankur Agarwal, Shaila Mathias, Eric Saccullo, Ryan Malecky, Adam Solomon and many not named here! Based on current trends, Amazon is poised to emerge as a primary beneficiary from the end of 3P cookies because it offers brands a large (walled garden) platform they can use to precisely target and measure advertising. They are doing this with solutions built on Amazon Marketing Cloud (#AMC) like Amazon Audiences and Modeled Conversions, which aren’t reliant on 3P cookies. They are also working on their own identifier called ID++... This is huge because having an #identifier and a #DataCleanRoom will offer advertisers a way to close the measurement gap for offsite inventory purchases made on Amazon's DSP - providing Amazon Ads a way to further eat into the Google and Meta ads businesses. https://lnkd.in/gFXCAQvc #paidmedia #retailmedia #identity #cookielessfuture #cookies
