Awareness is an underrated superpower! Love this moment from Man City's Jack Grealish where he takes time to acknowledge a blind girl on the podium when nobody else did, including UEFA President Aleksander Čeferin who tries to usher him past to keep the medal ceremony moving. Grealish's sister has cerebral palsy and his empathy and compassion always leads him to making time for kids with a disability and in this case made her feel special in what must have been a confusing time. A wonderful moment of inclusion she will never forget. A salute to Jack Grealish, a class act who provides a reminder that the true measure of a person is how they treat those who can do nothing for them. #Jack #BeKind #Respect Credit: UpsoMedia

Thank you Patrick for this thought provoking post. It’s great to stop for a moment and recognise this… I watched it a few times.

Even as a Birmingham City fan I can only admire Grealish for this! Grealish is a good guy - not one of these celebs or sports people who are endlessly signalling their virtue or high status beliefs for the world to hear on social media. Instead Grealish does it straight from the heart and seeks no attention from his actions. He may like a beer or two too many in Ibiza which some people frown upon - but good luck to him I say. A far greater role model than most in my view!

The worst thing apart from no one else saying hi to her... is the UFEA president trying to hurry him up and not letting him talk to her properly. Pretty much, she's there for a symbol we done our part let's get on with it...

This is so sad to watch, imagine being in the shoes of that poor beautiful girl. Why did they put her there in the first place, if not to sell a false image to the public? Anyone standing there should be greeted and not ignored, for respect goes both ways. They had to acknowledge her presence as being as important as that of the officials, for her time and presence is worth some recognition as respect. You never know where your true blessings would come from. Even someone you think isn't at your level of fame or class, or as privileged as yourself, might introduce some positive energy in your life. Don't underestimate the power of humbleness. Being humble doesn't mean you're stooping lower than whatever or whoever you think you are, but showing the goodness in you and respect towards others, exercising acceptance, inclusion and equality. What Jack did there, is an absolute strength no one can take from him. Not even that individual in the suit who was so disrespectful to both he and that young girl, trying to intrude in their connection. I applaud Jack for this and let nobody stop you from being true, authentic, and good towards another. That's what being human is all about... being there for one another, no matter what status they might have.

It would have been more special if they had allowed her to hang the metals on the players' necks while the UEFA rep handed her the metals and said the Player's names. The Players would have guided their heads to where she was standing. Otherwise, why was she there? The optics aren't great, except for the moment with JG. This was not planned out well. Much love to Jack Grealish and the little girl.
