Nucleai to Integrate Predictive Biomarker Tech into Proscia's Digital Pathology Platform Spatial omics informatics company Nucleai has struck a deal to integrate its predictive biomarker technologies into Proscia's cloud-based Concentriq digital pathology platform, the partners announced yesterday. Nucleai's AI-driven technologies analyze cellular interactions in patient biopsies to identify predictive biomarkers for clinical trial recruitment, companion diagnostics, and drug development. Proscia's Concentriq platform includes tools for image analysis, data sharing, and workflow management from discovery to diagnosis. Financial and other terms were not disclosed. "Software-based approaches, made possible by the proliferation of pathology imaging and AI capabilities, offer a radical new option for bringing treatments to patients," Proscia CEO David West said. Deciphex, a Dublin-based digital pathology company, has entered into a Collaboration Agreement with Novartis to develop artificial intelligence (AI)-based approaches with the potential to transform preclinical pathology assessments in drug discovery and development. The collaboration seeks to develop a suite of AI tools that streamline the pathology evaluation of toxicological and efficacy studies. The Collaboration Agreement brings together the expertise of Deciphex and Novartis in unsupervised AI model development and will facilitate innovation in lesion detection within tissues. It will build upon Deciphex’s existing intellectual property, alongside Novartis’s AI models, digital pathology databases and tools, to develop potentially cutting-edge algorithms designed to accurately identify and quantify lesions for applications in drug discovery and development.
