On June 23, we are celebrating the 11th International Women in Engineering Day! Every year, #INWED aims to spotlight the remarkable achievements of those who identify as women in the engineering field worldwide. A study carried out by McKinsey & Company found that 32% of women in engineering and technical roles were often the ‘only woman in the room’ and were underrepresented in leadership roles. This underrepresentation highlights the urgent need for diversity in STEM fields, a cause we are committed to supporting. At Cementation, we believe that a diverse workforce is the key to a highly synergistic, innovative, and collaborative workplace. We are not just interested, but committed to recruiting, retaining, and developing women engineers and professionals across the organization. Our everyday lives are #EnhancedByEngineering, and today, we celebrate and appreciate women in engineering and all they do to drive change and innovation in our lives. #WomenInEngineering #DiversityInSTEM #STEM #Engineering #INWED2024 #WomenEngineers #WomenInSTEM #WomenInTech

Happy International Women in Engineering Day to everyone! I feel very proud to work in a business where I can directly influence diversity in engineering firms workforce, and in my 8-9 years of recruitment life I can safely say that I have seen a positive change in gender diversity across the Renewable Energy and Infrastructure industries. However, with only 13-14% of the global engineering force being female, we are not quite there yet! With more females taking leadership positions, it will encourage more female engineers to join and stay in the industry, and even more females to choose to study STEM subjects in the first place, so let's keep promoting this together! With diversity comes new perspectives which can yield better results 💪 #womeninengineering #genderdiversity
Yesterday was International Women in Engineering Day, and here at LVI Associates we support trailblazing women in the industry, from Asia to America and everywhere in between. As Director of LVI Associates APAC, Kayleigh Regan is the perfect person to share her insights on how we are making a positive difference in the energy and infrastructure industry: "Across the APAC region, we are spending more time speaking with companies on how they can best attract more diversity into their company, and more specifically how they can hire and retain more female engineers. Some of the positive changes we have helped companies make is the flexibility for working mums on picking up/dropping off their children, how they write their job adverts (being gender neutral instead of saying ‘his experience’) and encouraging more family initiatives such as family fun days." Hear what Senior Vice President Sarah Lazar also has to say on celebrating women in engineering and view our open engineering roles: https://lnkd.in/eQVsc8X6 #WomenInEngineering #INWED2024

Happy International Women in Engineering Day! 🔥 As we celebrate women's achievements in engineering, let's also recognise the need for greater diversity and inclusion in the field. As we reflect on the long road we've travelled, it's encouraging to see the significant strides we've made in engineering 🚀 There's a strong push for inclusivity and equality, from increasing diversity initiatives to highlighting female leaders. And the latest trend is that more organisations promote mentorship and career development for female engineers, a positive change that inspires hope. But that's not enough. So, let's continue to push for progress and equality, knowing that each of us plays a crucial role in this journey 💥 #WomeninEngineering #DiversityinSTEM #DiversityInTech #Women #Engineering #Diversity #Equality

🧮 Arteche we recognize the importance of increasing the participation of women in technical and business roles, so we actively strive to attract and promote female talent in these areas by fostering a STEAM culture that inspires and supports all people equally. ➡️ In line with this commitment, and for the International Day of Women and Girls in Engineering (which was celebrated yesterday, June 23), it seems like a good time to remind ourselves that: 👥 26% of our team is made up of women, with 28.1% in leadership roles and 11% on the Board of Directors. 💡 In R&D, women represent 18.8%. But, above all, 📈 our commitment to increase these numbers. By 2030, we have set ourselves the target that 40% of management positions will be held by women and that all our positions are designed for both men and women. #MovingTogether towards a future where engineering advances without any barriers.

Celebrating International Women in Engineering Day 2024! We are celebrating the achievements and contributions of women in the engineering industry 🙌🏻. This year's theme, "Enhanced by Engineering," resonates deeply with our commitment to diversity, innovation, and excellence in our industry. At Redrawn, we recognize the invaluable impact of female engineers who continuously drive progress and inspire future generations. We proudly have 58% female employees and 50% women in management. Tomorrow morning, Redrawn will have a bold presence at Engineers Australia’s International Women in Engineering Day breakfast run by the Women in Engineering South Australia Chapter of Engineers Australia. Our very own Huw Dent is a panellist and Eliza Watt will be facilitating the panel discussion. The discussion will consider the 2024 theme through the lens of recruitment: Can Your Workforce be Enhanced by Engineering your Recruitment? They will delve into some big questions: ▫️Are women just not ‘programmed’ to be engineers? Or, ▫️Are companies not doing enough encourage and support gender diversity? ▫️Is changing company recruitment policies the only way forward? Or, ▫️Does it cause more harm than good? We look forward to the lively discussion! #INWED #INWED2024 #WomenInEngineering #DiversityInTech #STEM #EngineeringExcellence #Innovation #GenderEquality #EngineeringCommunity

Happy early International Women in Engineering Day! How exciting to be an honorable mention and I am proud to be working for Affiliated Engineers, Inc. Women are still a minority in the engineering industry, so I appreciate AEI's focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion. It's crucial for encouraging more women to join the field. The work we do is genuinely exciting, and as society increasingly recognizes engineering as a viable and rewarding career for women, more young women will be inspired to pursue it. Engineering no longer needs to be seen as a man's career; it's a field where women can thrive and make significant contributions. For young women considering careers in engineering, I have three pieces of advice. First, have confidence in your abilities. You can tackle challenging tasks and excel in them. You have the creativity to design innovative solutions for the unique problems that arise in projects. Second, always be learning. Never hesitate to ask questions, no matter how small or basic they may seem. Continuously push yourself to take on new tasks and challenges. By doing so, you'll gain valuable knowledge and experience, becoming more capable and confident in your ability to work independently in the future. Third, seek mentorship. People are generally kind and willing to support you if you ask for what you need. Get advice about licensing or accreditations, continuing education, career choices, design decisions, and more. Talking to people who have been through what you’re going through is a great way to reduce stress and be better prepared. In design work, there’s always more than one way to achieve a goal, so you’ll learn a lot from others by sharing and discussing ideas.
This Sunday, June 23rd, is International Women in Engineering Day — a time to celebrate women engineers’ accomplishments, promote gender diversity in the field, and encourage youth to consider a career in engineering. By commemorating women engineers and supporting their professional growth, #AEI fosters an inclusive and diverse workplace. Their dedication and expertise drive our success and shape a better future through engineering excellence. In celebration, we’ve invited several of our remarkable women engineers to share their journeys, challenges, advice, and more!
