Wanna hear something cool? Joe Speiser is my business partner in all things, like Hampton. Most people don't know him because he's super low key. This dude's had such an epic ride: • made a coupon site in his teens. Grew it to $1m/year • then started an ad network in his 20s. Bootstrapped. • that sucker grew to $200m in revenue! • at 25 years old, sells it for ~$150m. He made it! • Takes a bunch of his own $ and some VC and starts PetFlow, an online pet food co. • It's working. Great. Chewy comes along. They raise even more $ and are like f it, let's spend it all on marketing...who cares about profit! • Joe's like nawww, let's grow profitably • So, he starts a pet blog. Content marketing for PetFlow • That freakin blog takes off like a rocket. And he's like hey, let's put ads on the blog and make some money. • HOLY CRAP ITS WORKING. They're getting millions of visitors a day and are like hey let's make this its own business. They call it LittleThings • After a couple of years, LittleThings has 100+ employees and is the #1 most shared publisher on Facebook with 100m+ monthly visitors • LittleThings is crushing it. They get up to $75m in revenue! • But then...Facebook starts changing the algo even after years of promising they wouldn't. • Its ok though, Little things has a big, +$100m acquisition offer. • But shit hits the fan. a few weeks before deal closes, FB real bends Joe over and obliterates their traffic and deal falls through. • So after that he's like yeah, i'm only doing small stuff from now on. • so he starts like 2 or 3 small saas sites. Each get to hundreds of thousands or single digit millions in years. • And then I come in. I've known him for years. I'm like joe, you're such a baller and good guy. Let's do a project together. • So we do a few things. We date. Then I'm like, let's get married. Let's do something together. A real company. • And then came our baby: https://joinhampton.com/ • And hopefully Hampton and whatever else we do will kickass. This is the abbreviated version of Joe's story. There are literally 10 different epic stories he has that I didn't include here. He's the fastest moving entrepreneur I know. Its insane. Ok, my love story to joe is done.

I remember Little Things. That was around the time I came across a stat..that looking at cute and/or positive photos/videos of animals is good for the brain. Those posts throughout the day were meaningful, albeit little.
