PARK LAWN ANNOUNCES GOING PRIVATE TRANSACTION WITH HOMESTEADERS LIFE COMPANY AND BIRCH HILL EQUITY PARTNERS Park Lawn Shareholders to Receive Consideration of $26.50 Per Share in Cash Park Lawn Corporation today announced that it has entered into an arrangement agreement with Viridian Acquisition Inc., an affiliate of Homesteaders Life Company and Birch Hill Equity Partners Management Inc., pursuant to which the Purchaser will acquire all of the issued and outstanding common shares of Park Lawn for a price of $26.50 per Share in an all-cash transaction valued at approximately $1.2 billion, including Park Lawn’s net debt. Park Lawn is pleased to announce that it has completed the acquisition of substantially all of the assets of Crippin Funeral Home located in Montrose, Colorado; Gunnison Funeral Services located in Gunnison, Colorado; and Grand View Cemetery located in Montrose, Colorado. The Crippin acquisition deepens Park Lawn’s footprint in the Colorado market through the addition of two stand-alone funeral homes as well as one stand-alone cemetery. Today, Park Lawn Corporation announced its financial operating results for the third quarter ended September 30, 2023. “We had a solid operational performance in the third quarter,” said J. Park Lawn Corporation is pleased to announce that it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire substantially all the assets of Christy-Smith Funeral Homes located in Sioux City, Iowa. The Christy-Smith acquisition expands Park Lawn’s footprint in the Sioux City, Iowa metropolitan market through the addition of two (2) stand-alone funeral homes and is anticipated to close in mid-October 2023 following the receipt of regulatory approval.
