What a week at Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity! #Paramount leaders participated in numerous thought-provoking panels and discussions, showcasing our commitment to innovation, equity, and growth in the dynamic media landscape.   Marva Smalls emphasized the critical role of the C-Suite in championing equity, #diversity, and #inclusion. Her insightful panel highlighted how creating safe, empowering environments drives innovation and organizational growth.   Pam Kaufman led a compelling session of Paramount’s Impact Series, bringing together female leaders to discuss gender equity, career challenges, and the impact of uncertainty in today's business world. Crystal Barnes celebrated the success of Paramount's Content For Change "Sunset by the Sea" event highlighting the impact of Black American culture on global pop culture and the need for inclusive content and creative campaigns.   From insights on streaming's impact to discussions of multiple currencies, AI-driven marketing reinvention, and more, Paramount Advertising leaders at #CannesLions tackled the evolving landscape of TV advertising. And leaders from Paramount+ and Pluto TV shed light on marketing and branding strategies that drive fan engagement worldwide. 🌟 Reflecting on Our Juneteenth Celebrations🌟 Employees in our NY and LA offices came together to celebrate Juneteenth, engage in meaningful conversations, and honor Black culture with two special events. #Paramount's BEAT+ ERG partnered with BET to present 'Empowering Narratives: BET’s America in Black Series,' an enlightening conversation with journalists Jericka Duncan and Nikole Killion, moderated by Executive Producer, Alvin Patrick. The event featured a special presentation from Tiyale Hayes, EVP of BET Insights & Analytics, covering the state of Black voter engagement. The research shared during the presentation and featured segments from the ‘America In Black’ series—‘Black America Votes’ and ‘Missing Black Women and Girls’—sparked meaningful discussions about the current challenges and triumphs within the Black community. Paramount Pictures’ Project Action hosted 'The Intersection of Activism, Entertainment, and Technology in Black Culture', a powerful panel discussion that featured incredible voices: ▪️Rashidi Jones, MBA (TEC Leimert) ▪️Zaneta J. Smith, MSW (TedX South Central) ▪️Deborah Joy Winans (Actress) ▪️Jasmine Simpkins (KTLA Reporter and Moderator) The celebration continued with a vibrant community gathering, featuring delicious food, a drum activation, and a sound bath experience. 🎶🥁 A special thanks to BEAT+, BET, and the Office of Global Inclusion for organizing these amazing celebrations honoring this pivotal moment in American history. In his Q&A at Variety's FYC Fest, #Paramount Co-CEO George Cheeks highlighted the company's billion-dollar franchise strategy and core strengths in every form of content. He also noted the incremental combination of broadcast and streaming to drive reach with global audiences. "At the end of the day, what we are is a hit-making content machine on the film side and on the television side, across multiple genres, from kids to unscripted to scripted — everything.
