They are like Batman & Robin They share mutual respect ✊ Sales Ops: "Why can't they stick to the process ?" Account Exec: "Why can't they understand that the process is more like a 'suggestion'?" Both: "But hey, we make a great team!" One may have the gadgets and the spreadsheets, and the other the charm and the commission checks, but together, they're unbeatable. So here's to Sales Ops and Account Execs—may your forecasts be accurate, your deals be many, and your coffee be strong. ☕ Cheers! Spread their love by reposting this ♻️ #SalesOps #AccountExecutive #SalesLife

Sunday story time! 😁📖 One of my first jobs when I was 18 was working as a Seasonal Retail Associate for a well-known Spanish fast fashion retail brand (may be easy to guess with whom!) 😏🤣 I was tasked with working in the Kids department which I loved! My manager was very nice but one day during my shift a nice lady came in wanting to purchase something for her granddaughter. I recommended a few selections helping her to put a few outfits together, making sure to add accessories as well. She was so happy and had a lot of merchandise! She thanked me and went to the register. My manager came up to me and told me that I was neglecting my duties and I was not her "personal shopper". I wanted to make a good impression so was confused, I thought the customer always comes first. And the lady spent well over $500 that day. Looking back my manager had a point, I didn't work on commission and did have to tidy up the Kids area. I should have figured out then that I might be suited for Sales but didn't pursue my #TechSales career until the age of 30. I know as sales people we have to make time to add details and notes in the CRM, organize Google Sheets, review calls and other non selling activities. These activities are so important to the process! Now I think what if the next customer came into the store and saw it was messy, perhaps they would have walked out and spent zero dollars? Sometimes the little things we might not think are important actually are! 💡😁 #SalesProcess #Prospecting #SalesStories #StoryTime #SundayFunday #bdrs #sdrs

✨Virtual Assistant, specializing in providing exceptional support to artists and entrepreneurs with my PEACH method ✨ People Person ✨ Creative being ✨ Social media specialist
I wish sometimes people could see a little bit further when they read a CV with store manager experience. It’s NOT ONLY “store manager”, it’s way more then that. It should not be this difficult to find a job outside retail after spending all of this years multitasking and learning from basically every department, plus doing tasks that are not even in the description of a Store Manager position. I really feel a lot of job positions could benefit from the experience of a Store Manager. I’m still ready to take on new challenges outside the usual retail scene. #storemanager #opentowork #inbetweenjobs #newchallenge

Titles are temporary. I’ve had a few: Sales person for a local newspaper 🗞️ Associate at a hardware store 🧰 Janitor for a regional clothing store 🧹 Forklift driver at many trucking companies 👷🏻♂️ Delivery driver of hot tubs and pool tables 🚛 Shift supervisor for a container company 🏭 Dispatcher at a trucking company 🤳🏼 Lots of titles across 24+ years at Citi 🏦 We won’t be remembered for the titles we held. Our treatment of others is how we’ll be remembered. ▪️During the good times and the bad times. ▪️When we feel they made a poor choice. ▪️When we’re in a good or bad mood. ▪️During times of stress. ▪️When we’re busy and overwhelmed. ▪️When they need someone to listen. ▪️When you messed up big time. ▪️When it’s a repeated problem or mistake. ▪️When emotions are running high. ▪️When we need to be seen and heard. ▪️When it’s not convenient or scheduled. How they treat others defines them. How you treat others defines you.

Helping B2B Marketing Leaders & Marketing Operations Report on the True Impact of Marketing and Unlock More Budget.
Like most salespeople, I fell into #sales. 1996: Left school to work as a postroom clerk 1997: Got a job packing bags at Tesco supermarket 1999: Got a job as a bank clerk at RBS And then it happened. Thursday evenings were telephone evenings where we stayed late to call existing customers and upsell them our products. Everyone else hated it, but I was in ❤ The story continued, but it was hardly a straight runway. 2001: Sales Exec for a Car Insurance Brokers (first full-time b2c sales role) 2003: Business Development Rep (my first b2b sales role) 6-months later, I quit after failing miserably. The pain of failure resulted in me spending 1000s of hours in the following months on nothing but self-development. I read books, watched videos and learnt as much as I could about sales. 2004: I returned to the same role and conquered 💪 2005: Travel Consultant (smashing quota and making silly money) And then in 2006, I moved from the UK to Denmark and landed my first role working for Zmags, a tech #startup in the #saas space. And things moved fast. 2006-7: Moved from #SDR to #AE 2007-8: Moved from AE to Sales Manager 2008-9: Became Head of Sales (EMEA & APAC) 2010: Landed my first VP of Sales role It just goes to show that your journey to a successful #salescareer isn't always guaranteed to be straightforward or easy. But it is guaranteed to be full of fun and valuable experiences. How about you? Share your sales journey with us in the comments 👇
