I really enjoy events that accomplish one of three things.
1. They tell me how to do something, so I know what my next step is upon leaving
2. They explain to me why something - a new technology, trend, recent event, etc. - is going to impact my business, so I can figure out what the next best step forward is for my own company
3. Will introduce me to someone I wouldn't typically have access to
And all of the events that Startup Boston creates are really built with those three underlying principles in mind.
Because your time is valuable in the #startup world.
And, in my personal opinion, it is the most EXPENSIVE commodity you have.
Startup Boston has some awesome events coming up - I'm linking them in the comments below! 👇

Latitude59 - this time I was more prepared.
In January I took part of sTARTUp Day to see what the event was about. I learned that in order to gain more from these events I need to be better prepared.
What did I do differently at Latitude59 startup event?
- I prepared a proper pitch about my business - Rentster
- I knew what questions the investors would ask and prepared the answers
- I was more precise with what I was asking for from the investors
- I observed their reactions to see if what I asked for would be realistic
- I will definitely follow up the connections I made
What did I learn?
- Rentster is interesting to many investors and people in the startup field
- When I’m more specific and confident with what I want to achieve the better it is perceived
- I met many potential cooperation partners from other startups now it’s time to follow up.
Did you go to Latitude59? What are your learnings?
