In 2024, politicians in states across the United States support the continued use and support of subminimum wages for disabled workers under section 14(c) of the Fair Labor Standards Act. The policy allows employers to pay disabled workers significantly less than the federal minimum wage. The tragic systemic discrimination takeaway is this. Politicians and businesses in 2024 continue to consciously undermine the civil rights, economic independence, and dignity of disabled workers. #MakeWorkAndTheWebBetter #EqualPay #Equality

Today is election day. As people, it's a time for us to exercise our democratic right to vote. As businesses, it can feel like a moment of total uncertainty. HR Inform recently released a great article that shows gives business owners an outline of what to expect from each party, should they win. For a conservative victory, you'll see raised wages for workers, changes to sickness absence, equality laws, trade union laws and legislation around foreign workers. Labour intends to update legislation around gender pay gaps, day-one-rights, self-employed rights, workplace harassment, sick pay, tips and zero-hour contracts. Building businesses and solutions that can transform a big vision into reality. The US disabled unemployment rate should be the same as the US unemployment rate
This is one of the core reasons we do everything we do at AccessAbility Officer! Businesses hire people to solve problems… And if those problems are being solved according to the specifications determined by the employer, then those solutions should be fairly and equally compensated Regardless of who is providing the solution. #Leadership #Workforce #Talent #Pay
