Memorial Day the unofficial start of summer; which means beach days and beach reads. Every summer I decided to take a break …I means summer vacation has to exist on some level; am I right? So, I pick out 3-6 books to read, complete and implement in my life on some level. I have three categories: management/work , personal growth and summertime sizzle (aka trash reads) I’m starting the summer thinking of work so might as well start with a “work” book. This month read is by Kim Scott’s Radical Candor …a solid read (thus far…I’m only on page 55) with practical easy to implement changes to assist me in becoming the leader I want to be. A colleague asked me to describe my management style in three words. My answer was complicated but fell inline with my general core values which are Compassion, Empathy and Passion. I take that into my management style as well. (Yes…compassion and empathy are two distinct things ) I can be understanding without being a pushover; and I am now in a point of my career that I LOVE what I do; and I want to do not only good no GREAT work but with empathy and compassion. Working with people is a gift and I have the fortune to work with some of the most gifted folks in the business of entertainment television. Let’s remember , we may not be in the same boat, but we are all in the same waters.

Founder at One Year No Beer - Transforming the World's Relationship with Alcohol | Author | Podcast Host | 2020 Great British Entrepreneur of the Year for Scotland and Northern Ireland
Summer, summer, summertiiiiiime! Make this summer your best ever Yes, I was just singing the Will Smith classic Summertime. And now maybe you are too! (Sorry about that.) Anyway, moving swiftly on… I’ve had a couple of conversations recently with people who were keen to get involved with our Complete Control program, but weren’t sure if summer was the right time to try going alcohol-free. And if you’ve been thinking the same, read on… Because the good news is your summer plans need not take a back seat when you join Complete Control. We don’t expect you to dive headfirst into total abstinence from the start. Instead, we offer a gradual approach, with the alcohol-free phase introduced from week 4 of the 8-week program. And during that first 4 weeks, we prepare you thoroughly to go alcohol-free. Even if you do have social events to attend during the alcohol-free stage, don’t worry. Due to the unique combination of 1-2-1 and group coaching, and the the support of your fellow members (who will act as something like your own cheerleading squad), you’ll be able to navigate around any social occasions with ease while still having a great time. Probably even better than if you went hard on the booze. In fact, we’ve had people say that their first AF holidays were the best they ever went on. Not to mention the delight you feel when you wake up and realise you've joined the prestigious ‘Saturday Morning Hangover-Free Club’! So, if you’ve been contemplating joining our next group of high achievers, entrepreneurs, and business people who are reclaiming control over their relationship with alcohol, there’s no need to wait. Book a call with one of our program associates below: https://lnkd.in/dDvEjyXG Make the most of your sunny days and balmy nights with Complete Control. #oynb #alocholfree #selfdevelopment #achieve #success #businesssuccess #work #businessownerwork #livebetter
