The UN library of open sources is impressive.
The OECD - OCDE has moved to entirely open access.
Jonas Salk, who saved many lives by not wasting time on his vaccine patent, famously said " Could you patent the sun?".🌝
The world is getting more competitive though, where intellectual property is crucially important, vital for individual progress and prosperity.
And yet, in the era of social media, where so much unverified information is shared and taken for granted - it is great that many would be able to have access to such sources as the OECD. Sources, accumulating intergovernmental efforts from around the globe 🌎 . Hopefully, such steps of having trusted and thoughtful information openly available will strengthen many socities and economies world-wide, and will help in building meaningful bridges as well.
Free to access. Yours to share.
The OECD is now #OpenAccess.
Explore, download, and share comprehensive reports, detailed datasets, and insightful analyses.
Now accessible on the new oecd.org.
Colombia Deputy Ambassador to the OECD
2dCongratulations to the OECD and its entire team. Of course, it is a great step in the right direction of facilitating access to all the information that this great think tank has on its member and non-member countries: it will facilitate analysis, international comparison, the construction of public policies based on experiences and evidences. One more reason to be proud to belong to this great organization as a member country
