Oregon Bioscience Association’s Post

Oregon Pavilion @BIO 2024 - Day 1: Oregon’s biotech trail extended to the San Diego Convention Center, where PNW life science innovators networked in a truly international setting. As in years past, many Oregon Bio members at BIO 2024 have roots that directly connect to our state’s research institutions like Oregon Health & Science University, Oregon State University, Portland State University, and the University of Oregon - from start-ups and early-stage companies to larger concerns. Case in point: Worapol (Boom) Ngamcherdtrakul, Head of Research and Chief Operating Officer, PDX Pharmaceuticals, delivered a succinct Company Presentation for the venture founded in 2010 as a start-up from the Biomedical Engineering Department at OHSU. Worapol detailed a silica-based drug delivery technology that can load multiple cargo types at once. A big thank you to our Oregon Pavilion partners: AgonOx, Inc., Absci, Aronora, Inc., Business Oregon, Genentech, Health Technology Innovations, Inc., InVivo Biosystems, Keliomics, Molecular Testing Labs, OFD Bio|Pharma, Oregon Bioscience Association, Rewire AI, Trace Biosciences, Vaginal Biome Science, and xBiologix as well as our amazing pavilion booth ambassadors (more details tomorrow!)
