There are over 58 individuals who still believe that carbon offsets in 2024 hold merit. At the most favorable interpretation, it amounts to greenwashing, and at its worst, half of these enterprises engage in double-selling, with flawed accounting practices and consistently overestimated carbon sequestration. The fact that Opus One still considers carbon offsets valid in 2024 is truly surprising.
