𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐇𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐂𝐚𝐧 𝐁𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐟𝐢𝐭 𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐋𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐝 𝐎𝐧𝐞𝐬 Maybe an ailing loved one is going to be moving into your home and you’re wondering if you should hire a home health agency. Here are some of the many benefits to help you know which direction to turn. 1.Professional help. Hiring home health care allows the caregiver and family to relax, knowing the hard stuff will be taken care of. 2. Quality of life. Home health workers can help keep a senior in their home, in familiar surroundings, and able to be with family and friends much easier. 3. Freedom. Home caregivers will be able to bring in much assistance with daily tasks, as well as physical mobility. Seniors want to be free and feel independent, and professional caregivers can help them maintain that independence. 4. Improved social activity. loved ones and family members are able to spend quality time with the senior and leave all the “heavy lifting” to the professionals. This allows social activity to be centered around making memories rather than keeping up with all the needs of care. 5. Personal care. Professional caregivers will be able to not only help with the daily care tasks but also manage medication, do light housekeeping and help with meals when needed. https://lnkd.in/gS9RGe8 #inhomecare #seniorcare #eldercare #caregiving

Family caregivers have no greater role than being the personal “health advocate” for the family member in their care.Health advocates act as a liaison with doctors and various health care personnel and speak up on your loved one’s behalf. Truth, no one knows what’s going on in your loved one’s day-to-day life better than you. Your loved one’s care team knows this and welcomes your input. Be prepared by following my Three Rs of Advocacy…Remember the facts and information central to your loved one’s emotional and physical health.Remind health care providers when something conflicts with your daily observations. Don’t be afraid to ask questions. Represent your loved one by being a knowledgeable custodian of their health. Experience shows that acting as an informed, engaged family caregiver will result in a more well-balanced exchange –and ultimately it will lead to a higher standard of care for your loved one. So, please be prepared and speak up. It counts more than you can ever imagine. #caretakers #caretaker #caregiver #familycaregiver #caregivers #caregiversupport #meditation #bounceback #boundaries #selfcare #reminders #health #advocate

When a loved one's health declines, it's natural to want to care for them yourself at first. But hiring help earlier on can make a big difference down the road. Getting familiar caregivers in place ahead of time brings comfort as conditions progress. It allows time to find the right match who understands your loved one's unique needs. Early hiring also lets you recharge. Avoiding burnout means you can play other important roles with renewed energy. Some people find it easier to accept assistance from professionals rather than family members. Devoted caregivers offer emotional support throughout challenging transitions. Seeking help before it feels absolutely necessary can ease the entire caregiving journey. We know taking that step feels like a loss of independence. But sharing the duties preserves joy and deepens care. If hiring help is an option, consider it proactively. Prioritizing your loved one’s well-being and your own will pay dividends later. We're here to listen and help whenever you're ready. Connect with us at Open Systems Healthcare to learn more about our caregiving services! https://lnkd.in/efsvGpzx

Looking for feedback from home health agency and assisted living owners, administrators, managers, and recruiters: I've been seeing a lot of social media posts about how difficult finding caregivers, home health aides, and certified nursing aides can be -especially in rural communities. It is extremely common for skilled nursing facilities to use temporary healthcare staffing agencies to assist when they are understaffed, why don't home health agencies and assisted living facilities do the same? I have been extremely lucky with successfully recruiting and hiring compassionate, qualified, and reliable caregivers for my personal services agency. I would love to share the talent pool by offering temporary healthcare staffing assistance to home health agencies and assisted living facilities. If you are interested in trying this out, let's learn together! Maybe we can set a new standard in providing the care our aged and disabled community members need and deserve! #homehealth #seniors #homecare #assistedliving #tempstaffing #staffing #caregiver #HHA #CNA #seniorservices #seniorliving #ageinplace
