Over the past two weeks I have travelled over 19,000 miles. It was exhausting and I don't want to eat plane food for a long time... however, it was amazing to be able to spend time with my teams in amazing spaces. When getting teams together we tend to think it's easier being in dull, dark, uncreative spaces. However, I'm a true believer that your surroundings can make you more creative and innovative. I spent a week in LA with the US team of onefinestay, we had natural light, amazing views of the Hollywood hills and spaces to break out where people could feel comfortable. The following week I was in the Dominican Republic holding presentations and workshops in the sunshine, amazing staff on hand to bring us anything we wanted, with open space for breakout sessions, in depth discussions on the beach and time for bonding. Throughout these weeks there was detailed discussions, creativity thinking, project planning and future strategy developed. Think outside the box, bring teams together in creative spaces, it really does make team meetings hugely successful.
