Not all D365 consultants are good. Some are really bad. Some are excellent. But might be useless for your needs. One may have 20 years of experience. But has never touched a project like yours. One may have just 3 years of experience. But knows your industry inside out. 'But we just need a D365 consultant'. Simplicity is admirable. BUT we are talking here about handing over the keys to a space shuttle not a lawn mower. A multi-dimensional system built on a modular architecture where a 'one size fits all approach' is useless. Curiosity and complexity beat simplicity here. And you will quickly see why the right D365 consultant is worth far more than what you are paying them. #microsoft #dynamics365 #d365

40% of the D365 F&SCM projects I am tracking in the US are for manufacturing firms. That's 488 manufacturing companies out of 1,212 projects I am following. In the DACH region 46%. 190 of 411. Benelux 40%. 119 of 296. Nordics 45%. 172 of 381. UK&I 29%. 82 of 279. The rise in demand for D365 SCM professionals in the first few months of 2024 has been dramatic. This looks like a drop in the ocean compared to what we can expect moving forward given the above numbers. #microsoft #d365 #dynamics365

After years as an expert in the M365 environment, it was time to put knowledge to the test. That's why we're starting the year by doing just that. #microsoft365expert #microsoft365

Following the presentation of an Information Architecture design I've heard more than once "that feels like a lot of SharePoint sites" - here's another reason why our approach stacks up. The new Microsoft 365 Archive (pricing in the comments) isn't going to solve your storage issues with #SharePoint hot storage unless you have a solid Information Architecture driven around SharePoint sites. Because Archive: - Operates at site level (not document library or file level) * - Removes visibility of files from end users - so you have to be comfortable that you have strong governance and information life-cycle management to maintain user confidence * For now - roadmap shows it will move to file level in H2 2024 But: - it retains visibility for eDiscovery - it retains metadata, labels, versions Also worth noting: - Archive is charged at a TB per month cost AND a fee to restore a site - Fees to be announced So, if you operate using a few of "big buckets" - you're creating a information management challenge for yourself and also the possibility of increased storage costs...
