This is the answer for Texas Senate Bill 900. This new law says you must have tank fire extinguishing on any and all tanks 21,000 gallons or larger in a Tank Farm, Chemical Plant or Refinery. This same technology is an enhanced methane/GHG capture tool for conned roof or floating roof tanks. The new EPA laws released this past weekend already has an answer on tanks. Come pilot several projects with us. We have the DOE liaisons to help guide you to financial support to show that you are reducing emissions and enhancing your capture to reach zero emissions on tanks. 432-770-2708 #tankfarm #chemicalprocessing #refinery #ghgemissions #methanereduction #epa #txsb900 #enhancedproductivity #tceq #southcoastaqmd #newtechnologies

🔥 Texas Sues Shell Over Environmental Damage from Massive Fire at Houston Chemical Plant 🔥 The state of Texas has filed a civil lawsuit against British oil giant Shell and its co-owner of a petrochemical and refinery complex near Houston. The lawsuit alleges that a massive fire in May led to the release of "mass quantities" of airborne contaminants and illegal flows of wastewater into nearby waterways. The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality seeks over $1 million in unspecified damages and relief for environmental violations at the Deer Park site. During the fire, firefighting efforts involving large amounts of water caused over 68.7 million gallons of wastewater to be unlawfully discharged into a storm-water pond and the Houston Ship Channel. Shell is accused of permitting additional excessive wastewater to flow through a water-treatment facility. Shell and the subsidiary of Pemex, the Mexican state oil company that owns the refinery, have been named defendants in the lawsuit. Shell is investigating the cause of the fire and rebuilding the damaged plant portion. PEMEX's refinery claims commitment to resolving concerns and conducting business safely and environmentally responsibly. The incident highlights an overall increase in serious chemical-related incidents in U.S. plants and refineries in recent years. Besides the state's lawsuit, Shell faces private legal action from employees and contractors allegedly exposed to harmful fumes during the fire. The lawsuit alleges that the released contaminants posed risks to humans, animals, and vegetation. The incident occurred after Shell sold its stake in the refinery but retained full ownership of the adjacent petrochemicals plant, impacting its global chemicals business. https://lnkd.in/gj8eGy_G
