Trudeau and the #Liberals voting against sending more weapons and ammunition toward Ukraine is a positive step toward realizing war pays no lasting #dividends. The major #banks in #Canada appear to have more than doubled their loan loss provisions (fancifully called PCL- provisional credit losses) to more than $3billion this year which the #Conservatives must make note of, as should smooth as Indian silk Rishi Sunak insofar as "British Ideas" go with regard to their anticipated #30b investment largely from big tech. Better to #trade that in for the Koh-i-Nur when you've got the dumbest #economic model making #interest payments to #fund wars rather than enjoy #peace.

4195 children killed in 21 days. I shouldn’t have to infantilise Palestine to illicit a response from human beings, but here we are. Palestinian children are being killed now at a rate of 1 every 8 MINUTES. One child is already too many and we’re at 4195 innocent souls gone from the world and thousands more so gravely injured and burned they are barely living and in so much pain their bodies are shutting down. If you haven’t called your MP, congress, shared, spoken about this, it’s time to stop with ‘it’s complicated’, ‘it’s geo-politics’, ‘it’s too far away, I must centre myself at this time’, ‘it’s too hard to comprehend so I’ll just do nothing’. Half a million people flooded London in protest to the genocide of Palestinians in Gaza. Protests happen when something is gravely wrong in the world. This should be enough to recognise the insanity of what is happening. It takes minutes to do something meaningful here. To show up with millions of other voices saying this has to stop. You can donate to charities like Palestine Children's Relief Fund (PCRF) as they prepare comprehensively to get the exact right aid in to Gaza, they’ve been making adjustments to account for the bombarments and restitutions that are now in force over and above typical restrictions of Gaza. You can also donate eSIMs via Simly so that Palestinians can communicate again. Incredible humanitarians in Egypt tested this out in the last 24 hours successfully and we have the power to help connect people with their families, connect doctors to paramedics, connect paramedics to communities so they can reach bomb sites and save people’s lives. This is not complicated. It is very clear that Israel is committing heinous crimes on a scale that the almost entire majority of us who use this platform have ever seen before, unfolding day by day. Take a minute to help. It’s the absolute bare minimum any of us can do. 🙏

On 7th October 2023, Hamas terrorists attacked Israel, starting a war that has and will impact us all indefinitely. At JCA, we recognise that these are unprecedented times, and our community’s priority must be to support Israel and advocate for the release of the hostages. Some are unaware that JCA is the primary funding facilitator of the NSW Jewish Board of Deputies, CSG NSW and AUJS (Australasian Union of Jewish Students) NSW & ACT, assisting these organisations with 90% of their annual operating budgets. In normal times this equates to combined funding of more than $5m. But we are no longer in normal times. All three organisations are working without respite to advocate for our community, against antisemitism and for Israel. Working to keep us physically safe and secure. This work comes with an increasing cost. With this need came the establishment of the Never Again Response Appeal, a solely established appeal, separate to JCA’s annual general campaign, which will enable us to fund increased resourcing needs for our frontline advocacy and security organisations. Russia bombs a civilian hospital during a massive bombing assault. Hamas's barbaric ISIS-topping slaughter was marked by raping, maiming, burning, shooting, and kidnapping teens at a peace festival, while Israel as a Nation was rejoicing with the Torah and the Almighty. Its's not about Jews and Palestinians, but about preventing Insidious Evil from permeating and skewing our sound logic and arresting our spirits. It's about brining an immediate halt to the suffering of innocent people on both sides, orchestrated by thugs who don't represent Islam. Gratefully, many are sending financial donations to Israel. Today we are looking to add a crucial dimension... Manufacturers and Distributors partnering organizing and DIRECTLY with the IDF to get urgently needed food and supplies into Israel. MSI- Manufactures Supporting Israel is being organized to: 1. COALESCE: Organize to discuss, plan, and TAKE ACTION; 2. DELIVER: Coordinate ONLY with the IDF and plan IMMEDIATE ACTION. Goods of any type are needed. Look at your inventory and see what you can donate, preferably to a 40'HC, but at minimum 20'HC worth in order to have some critical mass- even though it will be airlifted and not container shipped. Goods can also be regular but also can be closeouts, off-spec, overruns, misprints, etc. Safety/Defense, Hygiene, Food, etc are a priority. FIDF may be able to issue a Donation Receipt. If you are a broker or salesperson, get involved- Ask your manufacturer, distributor, or even retailer to get involved. This is not about choosing sides or politics. Ichud Hatzala have told us that our rescue teams and soldiers, who are putting their lives at risk for us, are severely lacking basic equipment and food: hygiene products, dry food, warm, disposable clothing, consumable medical equipment, tarpaulins and batteries, etc. We are organizing packages to be send to the south.
