Heading to #davos for this year's #WorldEconomicForum, one of the most important events setting the global political and economic agenda, I am looking forward to the opportunity of meeting leaders in organizations that are striving to make a positive impact on the environment, the climate and society. This year's theme "rebuilding trust" couldn't be more appropriate for an organization like Varda that is devoted to increasing #trust in the agri-food supply chains through a more connected data ecosystem. I am honored to have the opportunity to join a dinner event hosted by Yara International and the Norwegian Government on how to create the right infrastructure to unlock greater #NatureIntelligence. #technology is mature enough to enable better reporting of nature and climate-related impact in food supply chains. What we are missing - in my opinion - are novel ways of collaborating by exchanging actionable data ("intelligence") more effectively and transparently both vertically and horizontally. I will advocate for the creation of a global shared #digitalinfrastructure to provide foundational services such as #land #identification and other pre-competitive, public good data to reduce the barriers limiting scalability of #naturebasedsolutions, #innovation and #climatefinance to help farmers and rural communities protect and restore #nature Looking forward to a week of insightful discussions and serendipitous encounters
