Transition!, Transformation!!, and Sustainable Features!!!, was the theme of the Just concluded Conference and BGM of the Nigerian Institute of Architects (NIA) and it was indeed an experience. It's always a time to network and interact with like minds and fellow professionals, as well as make new connections and build new teams. In my opinion, we should do more of active interactions, brainstorming sessions, grouping and competitive sessions, Etc. The results of this, would be effective solutions to both housing and environmental problems. I believe we have been "talking the talk" for too Long, it's time to "Do the Do", through thorough implementation of the decisions arrived in the past, and actions decided on too. Sustainable Housing, and housing for all, is one of the major MDGs & SDGs and currently a serious problem in Nigeria and Africa as a whole. There is alot of serious work to be done. The right to affordable housing is a fundamental human RIGHT, as well as one of the major fundamental human NEED. Transition, Transformation and Sustainable Features??? Approach: Utilizing a mixed-method approach, the study analyzed responses from 910 questionnaires to identify key liveability variables for sustainable public housing design. Findings: Identified 21 significant liveability variables, achieving a high satisfaction rate (92.9%) among residents. These variables emphasize the importance of resident-centred design in public housing. 🌟 Highlights: Comprehensive identification of liveability variables for sustainable housing design. Approach includes analysis of Housing Units (HU), Housing Estate (HE), and Housing Estate Neighbourhood (HUN). Utilizes Satisfaction Rating and Multiple Regression Analysis (MRA) for robust data analysis. In this context, a notable initiative is the one arising from the #institutional #collaboration between the Comune Di Paola and FS Sistemi Urbani, FS Group, for the #projectfinancing of the new #marina to be realized in the municipality of Paola, which led to the recent publication of a #public #notice under the #Code of #Public #Contracts. The notice is aimed at soliciting #proposals from the private sector. The total cost of the project is estimated to be Euro 54,391,031.94. The investment benefits of a public contribution of Euro 20,067,771.71 from FSC 2021 - 2027 resources.
