Great podcast from Corrina Owens and Ottavio Dattolo on maximizing efficiency and ensuring every effort has a significant impact. Here are my key takeaways with some examples from our own H1 campaigns: 1. So many marketers are being asked to do more with less. Instead, try focusing on doing less, better. Going into H2, we've scaled back the number of campaigns, focusing on fewer, full-funnel, multi-threaded initiatives with increased personalization, quality content, and better use of our channels. I've asked the team to review previous campaign performance with more scrutiny, sharing highlights and insights more widely, and reflecting learnings in our H2 plans. 2. Lead with education vs selling in your events strategy. Last quarter we ran the most successful webinar in Redgate's history. We had more quality sign-ups than ever anticipated and despite being a top-of-funnel event, we're seeing positive buying intent to suggest registrants will convert to opportunities very soon - a stark reminder of the importance of education and value add for customers, and the impact it has on pipeline generation. 3. B2B doesn't have to be boring. You can approach B2B fundamentals in creative ways to drive efficiency and effectiveness. One of our Global Campaign Managers Felicity Questier (Jenkinson), recently attended a breakfast briefing held by Paula Fifield at Wildfire. The session challenged B2B tech brands to think bigger and bolder, and shared some innovative campaigns that delivered more awareness than any whitepaper or blog ever could.
