For our assignment, we were required to read an article titled "The State of Fashion 2024" published by BOF and McKinsey Business.  I had to read the "Gen AI Creative crossroad" part, which aligns with my passion and experience in AI generative fashion designs.  . Alongside this article, I also listened to two episodes of the BOF podcast, the first featuring Creative business owner Brunello Cucinelli, whose charm and compassion truly impressed me.  Another episode with Mo Gawdat, an artificial intelligence expert and former chief business officer of Google X, titled "How to Turn Our Fears of AI Into Optimism."  #ai #fashionai #bof

Despite many a lunchtime oath to never appear on a podcast, I'm writing to inform the world I have appeared on a podcast. My friend Souki Mansoor started a podcast with ECHOBEND about what's happening in the LA creative scene in respect to AI. If you're thinking "Not another AI creativity thing', well this is not that. Souki's been careful to avoid the normal cliches of the field. You aren't going to hear a refrain of how AI is gonna democratize X. Or "It's just a tool!" This is an interview series about how to think about AI, what people are doing with it, and how it will fit into people's lives. Especially people who practice an art. Some of the guests include the animator Don Allen Stevenson III, the film director Paul Trillo, and the dance choreographer and director hokuto konishi. They apparently saved the best for last, because the first episode is none of those people. It features Ian Eck and me. They sped up our voices a bit and cut out all our drawling pauses. So instead of any breathy-aired pontificating, you get a rather nutritious and entertaining 30-minute discussion. We talked about the early days of our company Pickaxe and some of the weirder stuff we saw. If you're looking for a new podcast, focused around AI and creativity, I recommend this one.
