This weeks OCOMM retreat was a reminder of the kind of magic that comes from in-person collaboration. Lessons that I learned? 1. Speak up! No one has or ever will have exactly the same perspective, needs, or insights that you do — share them, they are so valuable. 2. Set boundaries and say ‘no’, because while potentially uncomfortable at first, those ‘no’s’ will give you the ability, time, and bandwidth, to say ‘yes’ to the goals and values that are most important to you. 3. Discomfort, whether it’s coming from a suddenly quiet room, or a difficult question, almost always leads to growth. Don’t run from it, accept it and use it to expand and refine. 4. Make intentional room for fun. Discomfort may lead to growth, but fun builds up the resilience to discomfort that you need to draw on, (especially when you’re on day 3 of workshopping 😅) Thanks Margot for facilitating a great team retreat! The selfless acts of heroism displayed by Vedant Cranes' employees on a fateful Saturday near Khambatki Ghat have earned them well-deserved accolades. The incident, involving a car veering into a canal, saw the swift and courageous actions of these individuals, who pulled the accident victims to safety before official help arrived.
