✨ Pranayama for Year-End Fundraisers✨ Having walked the walk of a nonprofit professional for many years, I vividly recall the whirlwind that is the end-of-year—fundraising targets, holiday gifts to donors, grant requirements, budget deadlines—the list seems endless and the stress is REAL. During this time of year I find it helpful to be surrounded by community, and I have found that with all the lovely folks at my local yoga studio. For those who might not be familiar, let's talk about Pranayama—a practice that goes beyond the realm of yogis (and can extend to fundraisers, like you!) Pranayama, or breath regulation, is a powerful tool we can all use against stress. It works wonders in reducing the production of stress hormones, and you can practice any time, and anywhere. So, amidst the chaos, I invite everyone to pause, practice pranayama, and find solace in the simple act of resting, smiling, and acknowledging the teeny tiny pleasures that bring us joy. Be Present. It's not just about surviving the year-end grind; it's about thriving in the midst of it. As we all navigate the demands of December and year-end, let's truly experience each moment just as it is. Remember, the impact we seek to create in the world is not solely measured by the funds raised or the budgets balanced - it's equally rooted in the genuine connections we make, the lives we touch, and the community of generosity we cultivate. During stressful times, like year-end, how do you go about feeling good in your body and/or mind?

Living with PMDD can be a disorienting experience. The ups and downs of our cycles can disrupt our lives and greatly affect our quality of life. PMDD can alienate us from ourselves and our loved ones for reasons beyond our control. But we are not powerless to the effects of these monthly changes. IAPMD is here to help. MINDFULNESS FOR PMDD is being offered on Mondays at noon during PMD Awareness Month starting April 8th and continuing through April 29th. Hosted by Bianca Schrader, this 4-part course will cover mindfulness tools to help you honor and soften the waves of your cycle. 🌊 Through Dharma Talks, guided meditation, and discussion, you'll learn skills in loving-kindness and self-compassion as well as practices to ease the experience of suffering from physical discomfort. Attend as few or as many as you like. This webinar series is FREE, though donations are appreciated. Give what you can to support the work of IAPMD. Go to the link in our bio or visit https://lnkd.in/eyhBMSp5 to register. When you register for one session by making a donation, you will receive the Zoom link to attend all four sessions. The festive break means lots of things to lots of people. It is not all mince pies and mulled wine for everyone. So I ask you take a moment of reflection, not only for yourself, but those around you. Could this actually be a tough time of year for some? A time of grieving? Financial hardship? A sense of isolation or exclusion? The realisation of burnout? So take time for you! Take time for others! Just use the time to realign, refresh and reach out. Time is the greatest gift of all. For those who feel alone, don't be alone. There are charities and support services working all through the festive period if you need them. Make the break, the break YOU need. So in our household, we are full of lurgy. Sharing more than presents and goodwill. A reminder to slow down and stay well. Wishing you all the kind of break that works for you. 🥰 #frazzledcafe #selfcare #festivefatigue #restandrelaxation
