Nova Systems Australia and New Zealand’s Post

We are proud to be part of the Kanyini mission - Australia’s first state-based satellite 🛰 This is a major project for South Australia and the nation, which our team recently celebrated with the #space community. Nova has been providing systems engineering input into the project working directly with SmartSat CRC and in collaboration with project partners. Our team includes co-founder Pete Nikoloff as mission director, project manager Dr Sarah Cannard and systems engineer Nadia Sarunic and others along the way. Images taken by the satellite will be used for Earth observation research. #WeAreNova #Kanyini

Thank you to everyone who joined us to celebrate the amazing people behind the Kanyini mission last night! 🛰️🙌 The South Australian space community rallied around the teams from SmartSat CRC, the South Australian Space Industry Centre, Inovor Technologies, Myriota and many more to reflect on the journey from little more than an ambitious idea to a state-owned 6U CubeSat enroute to launch. The Kanyini is the culmination of years of hard work and dedication from some of our state's brightest young minds under the mentorship of South Australia's space industry founders. The SA Space Services Mission, built on the spirit of collaboration, has helped create countless high-tech jobs across the state, and led to the development of vital space industry capabilities that will long outlast the satellite’s mission. Next stop - the stars! ✨ #AuSpace #SASAT1 #SASpaceServicesMission #Kanyini #SpaceIndustry #Satellite #Collaboration #Event
