Developing technologies in Carbon Capture!!! Many operators are looking at solvents and adsorption technologies for Carbon Capture. A technology partner in Saskatchewan wanted to test a NEW efficient technology for capturing CO2 generated by the combustion of fossil fuels by partnering with an oil producer at one of their Steam Assisted Gravity Drainage (SAGD) facility. This proprietary process is a rapid cycle Temperature Swing Adsorption (TSA) system using advanced structured adsorbents that can produce a high-purity CO2 stream. (How high? Purity of 90%!) The CO2 would be pipelined for use at the Producer’s Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR) production program. The goal?
