However, this progress comes hand in hand with a concerning trend – a decline in the availability of qualified labor, exacerbated by the challenges posed by the pandemic. As hotels and conference facilities grapple with a shrinking pool of human resources, they are increasingly turning to technology to fill the gaps. From automated check-in processes to self-service kiosks, technology is stepping in to replace human labor where possible. But this shift raises important questions about the future of guest experience and service quality. There's a risk that the reliance on technology could lead to decreased human interaction, resulting in a decline in service quality and an increase in "do-it-yourself" guest behaviors.
