I think it’s no secret that with the advent of Airbnb, a lot has changed on the market, and platforms such as Expedia and Booking have made it possible to advertise apartment chains and small apart-hotels. I did some research via Facebook which is not at all representative, but importantly it was done on people I have met/know personally and who use hotels quite often. And I have to say that many of them are "members" and usually stay at big chain hotels. So I asked 185 people three questions. 1. Have you been looking for small apartment hotels lately? 2. Would you choose them in the future? 3. What is the reason? The results were interesting. First of all, it is clear that small apartment hotels are also different, but many of them have become very flexible in responding to new challenges, especially after the COVID pandemic, and chain hotels also need to be fast and flexible given the new reality. Thus, 150 participants occasionally use small hotels during business trips, and 98 prefer them to large chain hotels. Again, this is not a representative study, but it does show some trends. There are many reasons why this happens. Lack of quality staff is just one of them. It is quite possible to organize work correctly in every large hotel, and the main word here is Team. And, of course, people who are ready to show creativity and professionalism.
