In recent years, the discourse surrounding political campaign and donation reform in Australia has reached a tipping point and it’s clear to most people that change is needed. Spearheaded by the crossbench, including the Australian Greens and independent politicians, there has been a renewed push for sweeping changes to how political campaigns are funded and how donations are regulated.

Philanthropist and billionaire MacKenzie Scott has donated $6 million to the Voto Latino Foundation, providing a sizable financial boost to the organization's spending goals for next year's elections.
The foundation, which aims to educate and empower Latino voters, often takes positions that align with Democrats. Voto Latino said it helped register more than 601,000 voters for the 2020 election cycle.
Both President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump, the front-runner in the polls for the GOP nomination, are taking steps to court more Latino voters heading into a potential 2020 rematch.
According to a November poll conducted for UnidosUS (@WeAreUnidosUS) and Mi Familia Vota, 51% of Latinos leaned toward voting for #Biden in 2024, while 33% leaned toward #Trump. 16% said they did not know.

With the impending 2024 U.S. elections on the horizon, nonprofit organizations often fear a negative impact on their fundraising.
It is almost impossible to predict the results of the next presidential campaign. Still, I suggest nonprofits take a bold, unapologetic, clear stance on what the public should do and what politicians should do to drive change during an election year.
In this article on Forbes, I share a few ways to do that. Check out the link below.

You're invited to this national webinar this Wed. Feb. 21, from 3:00-4:15pm Eastern: Nonprofits and Elections 2024: Why and How You Should Engage (and stay nonpartisan). Register for free here: https://lnkd.in/eMBi2WxY
As we all learned in middle-school civics, every American citizen has both the right and the duty to vote. Likewise, every charitable nonprofit has a right under the law to encourage – on a nonpartisan basis – every citizen to use their right to vote in elections. Yet too many nonprofit leaders are under the false impression that nonprofits cannot even talk to candidates about community needs or do any voter engagement. This free webinar is designed to change that. Discover how to engage in legal, nonpartisan ways and why doing so advances your mission as a force for good.

If you would like to help, please share this page and my content on social platforms. I understand most people don't like sharing political messages or content on social. Many of my messages are not hyper political and perhaps you can find at least one piece of content to share.
I typically try not to post all campaign related content on LinkedIn, as I creat a lot on other platforms. That being said, there will likely be an increase in community related posts as I try to get the word out.
Every share, like, and comment counts; as each action has the potential of garnering a vote.
I am also in need of volunteers. Every single hand helps. Please contact me even if you just have a few hours available.
I have to start somewhere and fundraising is a key component of most successful bids for election, unless a candidate is able to self-fund. As a participant in the Fair Election Program (FEP), I am unable to provide significant self-funding.
To learn about my campaign and get to know me as a person, please follow me on social and/or reach out directly to me via the methods below. I want to get to know you 1-1 and hear how I can serve you and your interests best. I am constantly looking for ideas and improvements on my current thoughts and initiatives.
While individual contributions for FEP are limited to $100, every contribution is matched x 5. So, each $100 contribution equates to $600. Candidates who elect not to participate in FEP may receive individual and/or business donations. up to $1,000.00.
A detailed description of FEP is included on my donor page.
