Northstar's Andrew Pace and Bryce Avila attended the ISPE Boston Area Chapter Summer Social & Volunteer Appreciation event at Assembly Row in Somerville. The event featured great vibes, beautiful views of the Mystic River, and, more importantly, an excellent opportunity to kick off the summer and connect with old and new friends in the industry. #ProjectManagement #ISPEBoston #Networking #SummerSocial #Pharma

🤫 This week at #BMSIberia we have implemented #QuietWeek, an initiative we developed at Bristol Myers Squibb which invites people to concentrate without interruptions and give space for creativity and innovation. The goal is to have time to stop, reflect, focus our attention and prioritise what's important. 🎯 Thus, during these days we minimise the number of meetings in the calendar in order to have time to review what has been done during the year, close pending issues, get to know colleagues better and define the planning for the next 2024. 💡 "Less meetings and more time to focus and prioritize" #BMSIberia #BMSPortugal #BMSEspaña #BMSCommunity #BMSTransformingLives #WorkingTogetherforPatients #BMSTransformingPatientsLive

🎁 As we step into December, with the holidays are right around the corner, I wanted to wrap up the year (no pun intended) by sharing some facts about myself and CatSci Ltd. To keep with the holiday theme, I've crafted a "Did You Know?" Advent Calendar series, featuring brief facts providing some insight into my role, my team, and all things CatSci. The Advent Calendar tradition of opening only one door at a time can sometimes be hard to follow (for me at least), so, these posts will open up more than one door at a time revealing more facts! Check out the video below for Days 1-3 of the "Did You Know?" series. Feel free to send me a message with any questions, and remember to check back in tomorrow for "Did You Know" Day 4 & 5! 🌟 In case you missed a fact: Day 1- My role involves supporting customers on the east coast of the US and in Ontario, Canada. -> Our business development team contains 4 members in North America. This includes Jas Douville (Head of Business Development - North America), Ivor Smajlagic, Ph.D. (US -West Coast), Jenny Wallis (Massachusetts and the UK) and myself (US- East Coast). Day 2- I operate fully remote from Windsor, Ontario, Canada! -> CatSci’s headquarters is located in Cardiff, UK and because of this I work fully remote from my home office in Windsor, Ontario. Being in the same time zone as my customers helps me support them when they need it most. I also get to travel to meet customers and attend conferences and tradeshows. Always great to meet customers in person! Day 3- CatSci has two UK sites, one in Cardiff, Wales and the other in Dagenham, England. -> Our Cardiff site contains laboratories dedicated to the non-clinical development of small molecule therapeutics as well as oligonucleotides. Our Dagenham site contains our GMP-analytical science laboratory. #didyouknowseries #catsci #remotework #analyticalscience #businessdevelopment #ExcellenceInMedicinesDevelopment #ProudToBeChemistry #Chemistry #DrugDevelopment #APIManufacturing

Last week, I had the opportunity to attend a fantastic event thanks to the Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association. The Fireside Chat was an engaging conversation between two leaders from Bristol Myers Squibb - Adam Lenkowsky (Chief Commercial Officer) and Wendy Bartie (SVP of U.S. Oncology and Hematology). Their conversation covered everything from both of their career journeys to the importance of advocacy, navigating inclusion in the workplace, and personal growth. Here are some of my favorite takeaways from their conversation: 💯 Authenticity is important - it can be exhausting to try to be someone you're not, so embrace who you are. 🫱🏽🫲🏼 Building relationships both in and beyond your immediate organization is essential. 🚀 Be excellent, take calculated risks, and be "political" (as in, understand how organizations work and build relationships) 🧠 There are 3 kinds of mentors - "cheerleader mentor," "trusted truth-teller," and "the oracle" 📢 Call out exclusionary behavior, and engage in "microlifts" (vs "microagressions") Having been on the volunteering and organizing end of these types of events, I can imagine the level of work that went into it. I am so thankful to the BMS and #HBACNJ teams who put so much work into orchestrating such an impactful gathering. And always a pleasure to see fellow HBA friends! Here's to embracing our true selves, believing in our potential, and supporting each other's journeys! #Empowerment #BelieveInYourself #HBAImpact

Had a very educational time at Health Management Associates retreat in Salt Lake City! As promised to Kelsey Stevens, I'll be doing my homework by making this post related to the Retreat. Additionally gained valuable information from our very own Linkedin conference for tips surrounding Linkedin usage. What a difference working for a company remotely can do for you when you get to meet these same individuals in person! #SaltLakeCity #GrandAmerica #HMA #Wakely #Healthmanagementassociates #Healthcare #Retreat #HMARetreat #Business #Linkedin #Remote

I had an amazing time kicking off the HMA all staff event yesterday in beautiful Salt Lake City. I got to spend time with 850 of my new friends helping them network, meet new people, and step out of their comfort zones! Perhaps my favorite comment of the night was “I was so impressed that you were able to extemporaneously talk for that long!” Haha. I am a talker for sure. But actually the audience did most of the talking. Because the person doing the talking is the person doing the learning. In an hour, they had conversations with at least 10 new people. They discussed their role in building a healthier America. They found their sole mate. (Person with similar shoes) and they learned how to make interactions with others safe, logical, fun, and memorable. I would call that a win. Thank you Suzanne Severe and Kelly Johnson for making this such an incredible event. And thank you Kelsey Stevens for believing in me and what I do. Now go Transform Healthcare Together! Collaboration is everything.
