Want to build a high-performing team? Don't hire experts. Hire people who are OBSESSED. In my company, we embody three camps of obsession: 👉 Sales team? Client-obsessed. 👉 Delivery team? Candidate-obsessed. 👉 Marketing team? Brand-obsessed. I don't want my team to do their job well; I want them to be obsessed with showing up and overdelivering. It takes 10,000 hours of training to become an expert in something, but what's the point if you aren't wholly obsessed with your craft? It is an obsession of ours to create an environment where our candidates not only succeed but thrive in each phase of the candidate journey. There might be some ordinary recruiters in the world, but my team and I refuse to be. If you want to be the best, get people on your team who are obsessed.
