Our employees recently volunteered at the Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity build in support of their mission to create, preserve, and promote affordable homeownership and advance racial equity in housing. The volunteers had a rewarding and enjoyable experience on-site, as they spent time across three days, working with their hands and engaging in a range of activities from interior painting and exterior siding of a garage to filling nail holes and installing flooring. The team did more than just building a home—they also built strong bonds and cherished memories. We are proud of our employees for living out our core values and doing their bit in bringing affordable housing to the Twin Cities—because after all, homes and families are the foundation of successful communities! #TeamNorthern #NationalVolunteerWeek #volunteering

"Why be a volunteer... It's not for the money, it's not for fame, and it's not for any personal gain. It's for the love of fellow man, it's just to lend a helping hand. It's just to give the tithe of self. That's something you can't buy with wealth. It's not the medals worn with pride. It's just for that feeling deep inside. It's that reward down in your heart. It's the feeling that you've been a part of helping others far and near, that's what makes you a volunteer!" • Looking for a volunteer opportunity? Do you love the outdoors? The start of our new temperate rainforest in the hyper-oceanic climate zone at the heart of Exmoor and part of an extensive nature based solution to slow the progress of water into the River Barle.
Thank you to everyone who came along to help plant trees for Kings Wood. Despite physical challenges working on a steep slope, everyone dug in and we planted 1000 trees – including oak and birch. To see progress so far - walk the lovely footpath from Simonsbath to Cow Castle. #volunteering #naturerecovery

Check out what the TriCounty Young Professionals have been up to!
This Wednesday, the TriCounty Young Professionals had the opportunity to get a sneak peak of the Pottstown Children's Discovery Center and help out where needed. We had such a fun time painting, moving around some things, and hanging out as a group! Thank you, Pottstown Children’s Discovery Center for the hospitality and delicious Rita’s Water Ice! We can’t wait to see the Discovery Center open and explored by the local children soon. #TCYP #TCACC #Networking #Volunteering

Highly experienced and successful partnerships and giving professional, creating mutually beneficial partnerships and opportunities for charities and businesses alike.
Your Park's Reimagining Parks campaign isn't just about adding a fresh coat of paint or installing accessible play equipment. It's about creating spaces that serve the real needs of our individual and complex communities and neighbourhoods. Why do I care? Not because I simply work for the charity but because I grew up in an isolated location in disadvantage. Going outdoors was my saviour. Parks are more than just green patches for nature, but vital centres for social connection and personal wellbeing for people who often have no garden or other access to open, natural space. Parks are where families or friends gather for simple things like picnics and play, where innovative green infrastructure tackles climate challenges head-on, and where everyone feels welcome, regardless of their background or abilities. However if this is the case for you, please know that unfortunately not everyone can enjoy this. This isn't just wishful thinking, it's a roadmap for ACTION after decades of requests. By getting involved and sharing expertise, we can turn this vision into tangible improvements that benefit us all. Let's roll up our sleeves and work together to transform Bristol & Bath's parks into vibrant, inclusive spaces that enhance our quality of life and leave a lasting legacy for future generations. #nature #Parks #csr #reimaginingparks
Did you know that the 580+ parks and green spaces across Bristol & Bath are not inclusively designed? This significantly impacts access for Disabled people, carers, women and girls, minority ethnic groups, and people in low-income areas with at least 200,000 people struggling to use them or locked out completely. Our Reimagining Parks campaign aims to start leading the change. We need to raise £30,000 to kickstart this work. We've teamed-up with Aviva who are DOUBLING every donation! With your support in the next 12 months, we aim to: -Create one exemplar park in both Bristol and Bath that is fully accessible to cater for all physical disabilities and differences -Have one exemplar park in each city redesigned by a woman, with a focus on safety and female-focused activities and facilities -Develop a programme of accessible and enjoyable activities, such as sensory walks, supported play sessions, family activities and accessible gardening, in every neighbourhood in Bristol and Bath to support 2,000 people -Expand our mental health programme (Roots to Wellbeing) and provide out of hours support for people with mental health issues to support an additional 300 people a year, including those in areas of health deprivation, parents and young people. ☑️ Double your donation and reimagine parks with us today: 💻 https://lnkd.in/gsxYgUJ5 📧 community@yourpark.org.uk #accessibleparks #inclusiveparks #ReimaginingParks #ReimaginingParks #FundraisingFriday"
