If Chick Fil A offered this, I'd buy it every time: A family box. If it had 12 nuggets 3 large french fries (maybe 2) 3 kids drinks 1 Lrg fountain drink 2 chicekn sandwiches Cost: $30 I'd buy that every time. I'd even pay $35 to switch out the sandwiches for 7 chicken tenders. I love the tenders. But this would feed my entire family. It would make ordering so much easier too. Instead of going in and picking each item on the kids meals, or what to include on my meal or my wifes. I mean fast should really start bundling...even if it only "saves" me like $2-6 it makes me feel like I'm getting a lot of value as a family going out to eat. The other option is to just not go out to eat. Which is fine cuase Just Bare nuggets are like the second best nuggets out there. So no need for Chick fil a. Anyways, that's my Friday thoughts. How to change the fast food pricing model, because dang, it's no longer affordable.

Headed into the weekend... here are some fun Super Bowl facts to dish out: ✔️Super Bowl Sunday is the 2nd largest food “Holiday” in the United States, second only to Thanksgiving. ✔️Unlike Thanksgiving, Super Bowl Sunday is one of the most popular days of the year to order takeout… 1 in 7 Americans order takeout on Super Bowl Sunday. ✔️60% of those takeout orders are pizza. ✔️In fact, pizza is one of the top 2 Super Bowl snacks. ✔️The second: chicken wings ✔️The National Chicken Council estimates Americans eat more than 100 million pounds of chicken wings on Super Bowl Sunday – that’s about 1.25 billion wings. Hello LinkedIn friends, family, and acquaintances, today is NATIONAL GRILLED CHEESE SANDWICH DAY - April 12! Each year, National Grilled Cheese Sandwich Day on April 12th recognizes one of the top comfort foods in the United States. Why wouldn't it be when we're talking about bread grilled to perfection, and warm, gooey, melted cheese. According to food historians, many cultures around the world have enjoyed cooked bread and cheese since ancient times. The United States modern version of the grilled cheese sandwich originated in the 1920s. As sliced bread and American cheese became easily available, Americans began making open-faced grilled cheese sandwiches. United States government cookbooks describe Navy cooks broiling “American cheese filling sandwiches” during World War II. Grilled cheese sandwiches are versatile thanks to the ability to mix and match cheeses, bread, and seasonings. Adding sauteed vegetables or herb-infused oils can elevate this simple comfort food to a whole other level. #GrilledCheeseSandwichDay #DallasHarrisTips

Five minutes with Monster Grill 👹🍔 We grabbed five minutes to ask five quickfire questions to Charlie from Monster Grill. Here's what he had to say about childhood favourites, dream events and his secret ingredient. 🍽️ Favourite thing on your menu? My favourite thing on the menu is our Bacon Cheeseburger, it has everything a burger should have, big enough to satisfy the biggest of eaters and full of varying flavours and textures. ⚽️ What would be a dream event for you to serve at? Our dream event would be to serve the England football team (preferably after winning a major trophy) 🍔 How do you source your ingredients? We source our beef patties from our local butchers in North Wales using 100% local beef. Each burger is also pressed within 24 hours of being served. 😋 Favourite dish from your childhood? It's no surprise that my favourite dish as a child was of course burgers! 🤫 Do you have a secret or signature ingredient that you can share with us? Our secret ingredient is actually nothing - or salt, whichever way you wish to view it. We are always asked what we use in beef patties, and everyone is surprised when we let them know the only added ingredient is a pinch of salt while being cooked.

🍕 #FoodForThought 🍕 Pizza Hut I visited Pizza Hut today with my friends to enjoy their Unlimited Pizza offer. The pizza was delicious, and we had a great time! However, there was an unfortunate policy that I feel needs addressing. We ordered pizzas (personal pizzas), and by the end of our meal, we had about 5-6 slices left. When we requested to have the leftovers packed so we could give them to someone in need, the staff informed us that, as per the company policy for the Unlimited offer, they couldn't pack the leftovers and would instead dispose of them. While I understand not allowing fresh pizzas to be taken away, I strongly believe that packing the leftovers to avoid food wastage is a better practice than disposing in waste. In a world where many go hungry, it feels wrong to throw away good food. I hope Pizza Hut can reconsider this policy and take a step towards reducing food waste and supporting those in need. Every little bit helps, and together, we can make a difference. 🌍❤️ #NoFoodWaste #FeedTheHungry #SustainablePractices #CorporateResponsibility #PizzaHut #FoodForAll

We're in a restaurant bubble To now the point where going out to eat out will cost you and arm and a leg(and maybe an ear too) Just last week... PANERA: Family of 6 (4 young kids) - 6 entrees & 6 drinks was $73. LOCAL GRILL: 6 entrees, 2 waters & 4 kid drinks - $78 (they also charged me a surprise 3% fee for using a CC) Effing iHOP: 2 bfast sandwiches, 4 plates of kids pancakes, 4 chocolate milks - $60 lol (doesn't a pancake cost $0.10 to make) Even Chick Fil A is $55+ for each trip. We used to eat out 5-10x per week... now it's just not worth it. As credit card bills mount in America, I expect many restaurants at these prices will get desserted (pun intended) Already happening in small biz retail starting last year. Restaurants next. ~joe cassandra
