NJ TRANSIT President and CEO Kevin Corbett joined Amtrak CEO Stephen Gardner to meet with employees who are inspecting train pantographs and catenary along the Northeast Corridor. These electric traction specialists use visual inspections and special equipment to ensure the complex electrical system that powers trains works properly, even in periods of high heat or adverse weather. This week, NJ TRANSIT proudly hosted the first module of the UITP Diploma Program in Newark! This expert-level, yearlong course for Managers in Public Transport comprises three comprehensive modules. We were honored to welcome 25 esteemed leaders in the transportation industry from 9 different countries. We would like to thank our trainers Guido Bruggerman and Michael Pellot and our partners at UITP, Ozlem Tatar and Emre Kiran for working so hard to help us to kick off this program!
