Senior Director Product and Strategy at Gupshup

It’s the day that marks 10 years of me being a corporate resource ! 10 years back a rookie college graduate did ‘grah pravesh’ in the world of business. If someone had asked me where I wanted to be in 10 years,I wouldn't have dared to dream of achieving all that I have. Been fortunate and worked tirelessly to gain experience across functions like engineering, sales, product, pre sales and more to come. And, of course, I've also savored the tangy zest of entrepreneurship. I have come a longg way both in professional growth as well as personal milestones. Here's the scoop from my journey: The young me believed that keeping the personal & professional lives separate is work life balance. Today, I realise the power of personal growth in elevating my professional accomplishments. After becoming a mother, I have been able to channelize my internal strength to multi task ( I was very poor in this aspect). Being emotionally strong enables me to empathize and further develop my people skills. Working more hours is not working more. 40 hours or 20 hours a week does not define your work quality, learning to optimise and make more out of less time is the key to success. Learning should never ever end, the day you stop gaining knowledge is when the downhill starts. The most differential skill also the most difficult thing to do is self motivation. But let me dispel the myth, no body is self motivated 365 days 24 / 7 ! It's okay, and in fact very important, to have a lazy day or even a lazy week where you let the waves carry you. If nothing else, it should rejuvenate you to emerge stronger when you're ready to swim against the current. Self-doubt and imposter syndrome can affect even the most confident and seemingly arrogant individuals. It's a common experience, and not everything that glitters is gold every day. Seek support from peers, partners, friends, family, self-help books, articles, or even social media. What truly matters is how resiliently you emerge from these challenges! The most important thing is to enjoy your roller coaster ride. Perseverance without happiness is like a shiny, bright lamp that will extinguish in a strong wind. #entrepreneur #ai #conversations #workanniversary
