Dear network, I would like to add some thoughts on Mohammad Golzar's emotional story below. I sometimes get asked why I started founding companies – especially at an age when others begin to think about retirement (hello #agediscrimination?). Well, the answer is very simple: nothing provides me greater satisfaction than #valuecreation. Value creation has many dimensions. Yes of course, our product Xentara adds tremendous value to our industrial customers on their way to #smartmachines and #selfoptimizingfactories. Eventually, Xentara will generate (financial) value to our investors, shareholders and the entire team. Equally, if not more important to me however is value creation in or for human beings. I am very happy when I see individuals and the entire team growing with the mastery of everyday #challenges and #learnings. Mohammad left his home country, his family, his friends and he took on all those hardships because he wanted to allow his daughter to live a life in #freedom and #peace. The thought that we as Team Xentara have contributed our share in enabling this better life for the 9-year-old girl gives me goosebumps. While Mohammad is from Iran 🇮🇷, we have other colleagues from Israel 🇮🇱, China 🇨🇳, India 🇮🇳, Pakistan 🇵🇰, Bangladesh 🇧🇩, Russia 🇷🇺, Hungary 🇭🇺, Greece 🇬🇷, Canada 🇨🇦 (and yes, also some Germans 🇩🇪). So, the majority of current geopolitical conflicts is represented in our little team. Yet there is no fighting, no hate, no discrimination. We simply collaborate to develop and deliver the best #nextgeneration industrial #convergence and #control platform. Welcome Mohammad and family, let’s continue to make the world a #betterplace – even beyond the industrial sector 😉
Dear world, last Friday was a tremendously joyous occasion for Team #Xentara. Not only did we welcome back Mohammad Golzar after a well-deserved long vacation, but he also brought his wife and daughter! For one and a half years Mohammad had been living alone in Germany, trying to get the necessary paperwork and red tape in order to finally be reunited with his family who were still living in Iran. We were ecstatic when we received the news and decided to send a small delegation to pick them up at Munich Airport ✈️, and maybe - maybe - even some manly tears were shed 😉 Please congratulate Mohammad and take a moment to celebrate with us 🥳

There is a huge issue at stake here. Not only does this program need to keep going it needs to be extended and expanded to all of the communities/municipalities of Northern Ontario. We have jobs and nobody to fill them. Our youth have all gone to the big cities to get non traditional jobs and there is no-one to fill the jobs in Mining, Forestry, and Agriculture. We have no-one to fill the service or healthcare jobs. Primary resource extraction is booming and we can't fill the positions. Government at all levels need to think outside the Urban centres... think Northern Ontario. We feed the economic machine not the other way around. 🤔

I support women leaders in defining and creating their own unique balance so that they can thrive at work and in life.
If you are a coach looking to deepen your understanding of coaching ethics, I encourage you to consider this workshop. I had the opportunity to attend Lola Chetti's presentation at the SF-ICF Chapter. She provided a deep dive into the nuances of ethical practices and allowed space for debate and discussion. I walked away with a clearer understanding of roles, hard-nos, and, how to navigate the squishy middle. #coaching #ethics #ICF

International travel is a privilege. I share what I learn from my travels to broaden the experiences of myself and my audience and inspire those who can to explore the world beyond what is familiar and comfortable. There is so much to learn about the world and yourself when you engage with more of it. When you visit I feel there is a responsibility to yourself and the places you visit to be a responsible guest and leave a slightly different person than you were before visiting a foreign country. This can be accomplished by simple things as trying new food or having genuine experiences with local residents. Other ways are respecting local customs, especially at sacred sites, which may require wardrobe such as long pants, etc. What are some things that you believe are important responsibilities when visiting another country? What have you learned from your own international travels? What would you add to your own “Passport Creed”? Inspired by the Rifleman’s Creed as seen in the movie Full Metal Jacket Curious about a picture or clip from this reel? Comment below and I’ll share more.
