This is Mohammad Siraj’s Ammi. Until a few years back, the lady worked as a maid in other people’s houses - cleaning utensils and mopping floors. When Siraj was young and busy playing cricket all day, she used to beat him up for neglecting studies. She wanted her son to become an Engineer like his brother. Siraj’s father used to save him every time she lost her cool. Today Siraj’s father is no more. He passed away when his son was in Australia. Until his last breath, he kept telling his family that Siraj has to play for the nation and should not be bothered about anything at home. He has to make the nation proud. So Ammi kept lying to Siraj that all is well. When his father was critical and Siraj was in Australia, he had a fight with his mother for not revealing the truth. This was in 2021. Three years later, after the T20WC win, when Siraj was back home with thousands cheering for him on the roads of Hyderabad, the first thing he did was to put the WC medal around his Ammi’s neck. I don’t think even in her wildest dreams did Siraj’s Ammi ever imagine that the kid she used to beat up for playing cricket would one day bring the Cricket World Cup home. Like Cricket, Life Main Kuch Bhi Ho Sakta Hai. Don’t lose hope. #T20WorldCup #viratkohli #rohitsharma #mohammadsiraj #mother #Ammi

CA aspirants are feeling like Bagladeshi’s The T20 World Cup - India versus Bangladesh ✨Where the Bangladesh team is clearly dominating, they need 10 runs in 5 balls. ✨Out of 5 balls Mushfiqur Rahim hits a 4 and then they need six runs out of 4 balls. ✨Mushfiqur Rahim again hits a 4 and start celebrating like a mad man because it's a big thing for a Bangladeshi to defeat Indians, right? ✨And he start getting overwhelmed with what is done and he starts celebrating. ✨Bangladesh now needs two runs out of three balls which is a very achievable thing and by now all Indians have given up hope because this can be easily done in one ball forget about 3 balls. ✨But, Dhoni tells something to Hardik, and Hardik exactly does the same. ✅Takes a wicket of Mushfiqur Rahim. ✨Bangladesh now need two runs out of two balls. ✨Hardik again takes a wicket Bangladesh now need two runs out of one ball. ✨And then Dhoni runs faster than Usain Bolt and does a classic run out and that's where India wins. It’s said in cricket that's it’s not over till the over is over💯 ✨And i would like you to use this principle in the last exam. ✨In your FM Eco paper, that is to be conducted on 17th of November i.e. tommorow ✨Because remember my dear friends even in a CA aspirants life it's not over till the last full stop of the last sentence of the last paper. ✨So, don't get overwhelmed like Bangladesh because it's your last paper but fight hard and fight hard like India till the last ball of the game. ✨All the very best and don't underestimate the fact that even this paper can help you pass the entire group or can help you get those marks that can be enough to set of the inadequate total that you had in your group one. All the very best❤️ - CA Karan Sheth #ca #caexams #caintermediate #fight #linkedin

I was disappointed that India had to share a point with Pakistan in a match washed out by rain. Call me deeply biased, but I felt India had a good chance of winning the contest. May be the rain gods had other plans, but nothing could steal the limelight from Hardik Pandya. Time travel 4 years back, Hardik Pandya was acclaimed as a flamboyant batting allrounder who could smack titanic sixes and classy fours to turn around a cricket game. While he has always been a 35-40 ball impactful player, hardly anybody would put their money on him to build innings from scratch or see off one of the deadliest pace attack of the modern world. Fast forward today and Hardik has proven all the bet masters wrong. Yesterday, he not only negotiated a fiery Pakistani pace battery with remarkable ease but his partnership with Ishaan also provided much needed middle order solidity that will please the national selectors. But for Hardik, this is no one off incident. Time and again he has made it a habit to play these responsible innings so much so that teammate Hanuman Vihari has found within him glimpses of Dhoni. Cricket pundits may argue that as he inches 30, experience has got better of him, instilling in him temperaments of restraint, composure and adaptability. Some may argue that the Gujrat Titan captaincy has a pivotal influence on his mental composition. Still others may argue that he is being forced to evolve only to suit the demands of competition and keep his place in the team. Whatever the reason may be, Hardik has evolved for the better and his evolution bodes well for the India’s immediate World Cup campaign and beyond. #hardikpandya #indiancricketteam #asiacup2023 #indiavspakistan

The Morning after India made it 8/8. This is only the 2nd instance that India have won 8 consecutive games in a World Cup. But beyond everything, it is something that cannot be expressed in the form of words. The Indian Team seems to be playing cricket at some other level. I did think that losing Hardik was a big blow to the side after the Bangladesh game. Because what happens is, there is a huge risk involved when a team goes in with just 5 bowlers. Here's how: The main catch of going in with 5 bowlers is that you get to play a pure batter at six, which is Surya in this case. But if you watched the India vs New Zealand game at Dharamsala, what Rachin Ravindra and Daryl Mitchell did was simply beautiful. They went after Kuldeep Yadav. As simple as this may seem, it is not. Taking Kuldeep Yadav on successfully meant that India were not left with any other bowler to go to, apart from Virat Kohli. That was a good move by Ravindra and Mitchell. It was Mohammad Shami's class that got India back into the game again. Had that not been the case, India was easily chasing a 330+ score there. Having an all-rounder can give you that balance at number six. India are currently missing that balance on paper, but the bowling attack is showing its fiery angle! Sensational cricket this, from the Men in Blue. #India #CWC

You are part of witnessing this history. It is happening at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. It was last seen in 2019 as the highest-opening partnership by the Indian cricket team against Afghanistan with 168 runs. That was scored by Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019. The Indian captain Rohit Sharma blazed to a 30-ball half-century and in the process equalled one record and broke another. He equaled David Warner's record for fastest to 1000 World Cup runs in terms of innings and then went on to surpass Chris Gayle for most sixes of all time in international cricket. When a player creates history, they are often focused on the present moment and the task at hand. They are not thinking about the past or the future, but only about the next ball or the next play. They are also in a state of hyper-focus, where they are able to block out all distractions and focus on their goal. This is what happens also in our own career and workplace as well when we go on to create benchmarks that are not run of the mill. Here are some things we can learn from players who create history: - Focus on the present moment. When we are focused on the present moment, we are better able to perform at our best. We are not distracted by the past or the future, and we are able to focus on the task at hand. - Be confident in your abilities. When we believe in ourselves, we are more likely to succeed. We are not afraid to take risks or make mistakes. - Be competitive. A healthy sense of competition can motivate us to achieve our goals. We want to be the best that we can be, and we want to win. - Have a strong work ethic. Players who create history are often very hard workers. They put in the extra time and effort necessary to succeed. We can all learn from these players and apply these lessons to our own lives. By focusing on the present moment, being confident in our abilities, being competitive, and having a strong work ethic, we can achieve our goals and create our own history. There are several moments to cherish. What is your favorite moment and learning that you can apply to your own life? #TeamIndia #CWC2023 #RohitSharma #VivekKhandelwal #History LinkedIn News India

Recently, the young dynamic and swashbuckling cricketer Sai Sudarshan visited me. Being a left hander myself, the affinity towards left handers is no surprise and so is my affinity towards Sai. His dedication to the sport and his composure under pressure has left me impressed multiple times. His work ethic is an example of something I always say: "Keep playing hard; opportunities will come. One day, it'll break open." At 22, he has played 3 matches for India, showcasing undeniable talent, commitment and dedication. But it's his mental toughness that truly sets him apart. One specific moment that struck me was his performance in the IPL 2023 season against CSK. The pressure was immense. MS Dhoni, known for his masterful field placements, kept changing the fields. It takes keen observation skills to: 1. Handle stadium noise 2. Stay focused with everyone watching 3. Adapt to Dhoni's strategic changes 4. And bat effectively finding gaps in the field whenever Dhoni shifted positions. Despite all these, Sai displayed incredible focus, scoring a phenomenal 96 runs. For a young player, this ability is truly impressive. He also shared with me his secret mantra - "Cut the noise”, uncle. He said he was simply observing and adapting his strategy with every move. It reflected his mature approach. Gujarat Titans may not have won that match, but Sai's performance was a true inspiration. His dedication, focus, and strategic thinking are a testament to the bright future of Indian cricket. #SpecialNote #IndianCricket

India has sent the worst possible message to Cricket Community. ICC Cricket World Cup kickstarted today and New Zealand is in a vengeance mood against England who won the previous edition with the barest of margins. It is a good game going on but in an empty stadium. The unoccupied chairs - thousands at Narendra Modi Stadium in Gujarat in the tournament's opening match- show that the 50-over Format is failing. But that's not a fair conclusion. The empty stadium is due to BCCI's utter foolishness coupled with sheer arrogance. The cricket lovers of Gujarat have already spent above and beyond to buy the tickets for the India VS Pakistan match, the World Cup Final. Why would they spend for the opening match that does not involve India? Additionally, Gujarat does not have a rich history of hosting Cricket matches (remember Saurashtra is different in Cricket) unlike Mumbai, Kolkata, Delhi or Chennai. But I guess, unless you have Narendra Modi, it isn't a big event. Obviously, you cannot have him play, so you must have the game at a Stadium named after him. Cricket deserved better. The ODI Format deserved better. The empty stadium at the opening match shows, why we are far away from being a sporting nation. #ICCWorldCup #Cricket #Politics
