If you haven't been before, the Tillamook County Fair is a can't miss summer event. My recommendation: Get some quality ice cream from a local favorite and go check out the 4-H club events. If you really want to go crazy, eat that ice cream during the Pig n' Ford race - just look it up. Mark you calendars for next year! And check out the video linked below to learn more about how TCCA shows up during the fair.
The County Fairs in our hometowns of Tillamook and Boardman are wonderful gatherings for the local communities to come together over good food and fun. Every August, we support our local fairs in a big way, including hosting an ice cream booth at the Tillamook County Fair, where 100% of the proceeds go towards the local 4-H club. Since 2010, we’ve raised $175K for 4-H, and we look forward to continuing our support for years to come. Summer might be over, but here’s a peek at how we celebrated our community and our people at this year’s Tillamook County Fair:

It was an honor to serve RaiseUp Families as their Executive Director for nearly 4 years. In that time, the organization experienced unprecedented growth: ✅ Expanded Board of Directors by 50% ✅ Doubled the number of families (clients) being served ✅ Client outcomes improved by 100% (average income increase in signature 9-month HandUp program went from 35% - 71%) ✅ Client graduation rate improved from 80% to 91% ✅ Revenue growth from $450,000 to $1,000,015 (donations from private sources) These outcomes are a result of the Board of Directors and staff working together towards a common goal, each person utilizing their unique skills and abilities in their individual role to help the bus arrive at its desired destination. They are the result of hours and hours of innovation, hard work, and determination. As RaiseUp Families celebrates its 30th Anniversary of stabilizing families from vulnerable communities who face unexpected financial crises so their children can focus on their education, giving them the opportunity for a better life, it needs a full-time leader with passion, vision, and experience to lead it forward. I could not be happier that Kate Yadan will pick up this torch and lead RaiseUp into the future! "We know that change is a natural part of life, and those who embrace it grow while those who do not slowly die, metaphorically. Two of the largest obstacles to change are ego and pride. Moving out of our own way is the toughest battle most of us will face. Giving up our seat for someone else, stepping down when it's time for someone else to step up, and gracefully exiting when we have added all the value we can, are what we should all strive for." -Angela Burgess, Are You on the Right Bus?
We are THRILLED to annouce a big change at RaiseUp Families! After a rigorous search, Kate Yadan was named our newest Executive Director as of March 1, 2024! Kate's knowledge and experience are unparalleled, and more importantly, her passion for stabilizing families from vulnerable communities so their children have the opportunity for a brighter future knows no bounds. We are incredibly grateful to Angela Burgess for sharing her vision and leadership with our clients, our staff, our board of directors, and our community over the last four years and wish her well in her future endeavors! Come out and welcome Kate at our 2024 RaiseUp Families Graduation Celebration! Sponsorships and Tickets are on sale now: https://lnkd.in/g3pn6Bjk

💖 One way to raise compassionate, empathetic, and socially responsible children is to encourage and support their passion for change, no matter how young they are. Children are naturally curious, kind, and creative, and when you empower them to turn their ideas into action, you give them the tools to become changemakers in their own right. Whether it's through volunteering, fundraising, advocacy, or simply being kind to others, you can make service and kindness a cornerstone of your family's values and build a better world together. Here are actions you can take to get started: https://lnkd.in/ggt_vmZz

NOTHING IS " IMPOSSIBLE" TO ACCOMPLISH ! Simply because, I can learn by listening and recalling whatever I hear, see and/or read IRRESPECTIVE of person, place, subject, trade or circumstances that I pass by or with!
Prodigy Finance! To finance with loans for interest to support the third world /commonwealth countries-students lighten their burden of huge study costs for higher study and thereby contribute in conversion of human into human resources combindly: perhaps it is the most profitable business network now in the world! So try to revise your old-obsolete-British minded policy to retain your shared businesses in the modern world of sustainable business mainly driven by holistic marketing strategy and approach to explore and pick it up not cunningly but with utmost trust and honesty otherwise you may lose yours to the honest and sincere competitors very soon!
Congratulations to Ryan Retartha for being one of the South Bend Regional Chamber honorees in the 2024 Michiana Forty under 40 class! Love your eye ❤️ Ainak is a Silicon Valley nonprofit, in providing free eye exams and prescription eyeglasses to the under-resourced children in California. Ainak's mission is a powerful commitment to ensuring that no child is left behind in their educational journey due to the financial constraints of their parents or guardians in affording proper eye care. We believe in providing every child with the opportunity to achieve a 20/20 vision, recognizing that this not only supports their academic success but also cultivates the confidence necessary for them to thrive in life and pursue their dreams. The statistics further underscore the urgency and significance of our mission. A staggering 62 million Americans lack access to essential eye care and eyeglasses, creating a substantial gap in addressing visual health needs. Equally concerning is the fact that over 300,000 children commence their school year each September with vision impairment, underscoring the critical nature of our work. Alarming is the diagnosis of vision impairment in 1 in 3 preschool-aged children. This statistic emphasizes the crucial role Ainak plays in intervening at an early age to prevent not only immediate hindrances to learning but also to avert potentially severe eye health problems as these children mature.

“Family philanthropy has the power to transform communities, but achieving this impact requires purposeful decision making.” The National Center for Family Philanthropy (NCFP) released the second video 📽 in their Navigating Family Philanthropy series. This video tackles the complexities of selecting a philanthropic vehicle and ensuring it aligns with the goals and purpose of your philanthropy. 📺 Watch the full video to learn how purposeful decision-making can create an impact! #philanthropy #reimaginegiving
I am excited to share the second video in the Navigating Family Philanthropy series. Families have a wide range of options, not only on the issues they give to, but in the structures that support their giving. Selecting a philanthropic vehicle or portfolio of vehicles is one of the most important choices you can make. Practicing effective family philanthropy means remembering that form follows function—the types and number of vehicles you use should align with the goals and purpose of your philanthropy. This video is a great introduction to the core concepts around vehicle choice. You can explore more using the Family Giving Lifecycle primer and related resources on the National Center for Family Philanthropy (NCFP) website.
