The most painful part in building a team? The period I call the “leadership deathtrap”. It’s when you’re so involved in projects that there’s little time to actually build the team. The result? Being spread too thin. All the time. Things I’ve tried to get out of that? Designated “deep work” sessions Just “pushing through” and doing all of it Or any “productivity hack” that comes to mind Truth is, all you need is to understand is the following: There’s nothing more important than building an exceptional team. And once you understand, you start to make time for it.
It’s the number one job. Did you read „The motive“ by Lencioni? No one has put it in better words for me
100%. I recently listened to ' The Knowledge project' podcast and heard a nice quote: "Take care of your team and they will take care of your company"
Yes teams don’t build itself even though many founders like to think that. And I’d like to add: having efficient and proven tools and a clear plan for how to build and lead a team also helps because then you need to put less time aside to do it.
