📢 #LongAgo, I dreamt of being… a #Teacher, #Vet#MD & a #Scientist…
I became a teacher…& a #BioMedical#Scientist… I went for PhD journey & life happened… I walked away from the academic world to do other things.
For many years, I struggled with the lack of my scientific identity… I did not know where I belonged… Was I still a Scientist in medical sales? Was I still a Scientist when I was the Flow cytometry expert?
Was I still a Scientist when transitioned to Product management & marketing?
I was confused for many years. I felt inner shame for not becoming a Professor… I felt lost without my academic titles… & that is when I understood that #labels are there to #divideUs…
I am still a #Scientist when being a #Scientific & #StrategicContentMarketeer. I do write more papers than I have ever written under my name, I am a #ghostwriter… I get paid for a living for doing science stuff...
Furthermore, I love science with all my heart & research for this matter.
I applaud all female scientists who are still in Academia because let's face it — women in #STEM still do not have it easy… & yet, you produce wonderful work, your work ethic is spotless, you hold your deadlines while breastfeeding your babies… You fight for grants to support your students… You win #NOBEL prices.

Last night, NOBLE's accomplishments were celebrated on FOX 5 News in Atlanta, shining a spotlight on the 2024 William R. Bracey CEO Symposium and the Salute to Women event. Let's continue to be inspired by the women who were recognized for their remarkable contributions on this International Women's Day! #NOBLE#CEOsymposium#InternationalWomensDay#WomensHistoryMonth
Today is International Women's Day and a good time to reflect that women play a pivotal role in health care. In fact, women constitute 76 percent of the US health workforce, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. This proportion far exceeds the representation of women in the overall workforce, where they make up nearly one-half of all employed workers. However, despite the considerable presence of women in healthcare, the sector continues to grapple with gender inequalities, including pay and leadership, surpassing many other industries in comparison. For this reason, on IWD, I would like to particularly highlight the groundbreaking work of an inspiring and incredibly talented woman, Claudia Goldin, Nobel Laureate in economics. Her work has shed light on some of the key underlying factors contributing to gender disparities in labor markets. If you would like to read something today to honor this day, it would be worth spending a bit of time with some of her writings. Her work is a good reminder that a more equitable health workforce not only fosters productivity but also harnesses the diverse talents of women to better serve patients and their families. As we commemorate International Women's Day, let us reaffirm our commitment to promoting gender equality in healthcare and beyond and create a more inclusive and equitable society for all. #InternationalWomensDay

As we gear up to celebrate International Women's Day, I find myself reflecting on this year's powerful theme: 'Count Her In: Invest in Women. Accelerate Progress.' The urgency embedded in the phrase "accelerate progress" struck a chord with me. The World Economic Forum's projection of 131 years to bridge the gender gap is a staggering temporal expanse. Just envisage the epochs that would pass – we, in essence, would be relics of the past. So, how can we, as individuals or collectively as entities, be it a business, company, or organisation, expedite progress? Allow that question to linger in your thoughts.
The next thread in my musings revolves around "investing in women." Often, supporting women is viewed as a charitable or altruistic act. However, it's crucial to recognise the dual impact – not only does empowering women lead to significant social benefits, but there's a substantial economic advantage too. Studies, such as the one by McKinsey & Company, highlight that gender-diverse teams can yield a 25% increase in financial benefits. Add ethnic diversity, and the value skyrockets to 36%. The numbers don't lie!
The barriers stopping women from fully participating in the workforce are costing the Australian economy $128 billion dollars according to a Federal Government Taskforce led by Sam Mostyn
In 2021, we celebrated a monumental $10 billion in VC funding, yet only 3% of that reached women, despite constituting 22% of the startup community. Let that sink in.
I could expound further, but let's momentarily halt. This International Women's Day, commit to being an integral part of the transformative shift that encompasses the other half of our population.
